it is a better pairing. but to be fair, you would probably have to make an additional trade or two to make the roster work perfectly and that could take a little time. but the roster right now doesn't work great either which is why mitch has to start.
Its a better pairing defensively for sure. I don't know if its a better pairing offensively. When Brunson has the ball Giannis really doesn't stretch the floor. It would be better in terms of using Brunson more off ball.
But like you said we would have to really change the dynamic of the team. Because if Giannis isn't going to play center you would need to find a center that can shoot which is hard to find. So you would have to change the entire composition of the roster.
I don't think anyone would say no to KAT for Giannis straight up...but we know that isn't happening. The real question is what else would the knicks have to give up the make MIL happy that also doesn't gut our roster because we aren't talking a 1 for 1 trade here...so we are losing in other areas and that is where it gets dicey.
did kat and brunson play well off each other last year at all ? it was basically just my turn, your turn. we started playing them less and less together because kat was kind of forgotten when jalen was on the floor. so if we're going to do that, give me the guy who can average 30 in his sleep even when there's nobody else of consequence on the roster with him.
I happen to agree...I think we just differ on why.
Our offense was humming early last season (we were up there with one of the most efficient offenses in basketball history). A lot of that changed when teams started putting there center on Josh Hart. Then I am of the belief that Thibs did the roster no favors. in terms of getting the team to play uptempo and less predictable.
