I was told the other day by Lucy Gooosey that the UN was fabricating international murder rate statistics (obtained from national law enforcement agencies). I would wonder then, why we have heard nothing about such fabrication. Surely the countries themselves would have a stake in getting the data right. Is the UN suppressing these stories? B-b-b-but I thought Lucy Gooosey told me that the UN was a useless, ineffectual bunch of doo nothing LIBRULZZZ. With what rainbow power would they suppress an individual or group or NATION that debunked their methods?! Lucy Gooosey, I confused!

Obamacare will not save money, it will cost close to a TRILLION DOLLARS over the next decade.

Obama had a dem congress to back him if he wanted to end the wars as he campaigned, instead he doubled down on them and entered a new conflict without congresses approval in Libya.

Obama has appointed more czars than any of his predecessors, these czars exists without congressional approval and have very little oversight.

Operation Fast and Furious is not going away and an ATF head recently testified that the white house was briefed on said operation in october of 2010. Whats that about????

But the bible in Thessalonians 3.10 also says he who does not work shall not eat. So lets not go there and make an analogy that Jesus would be handing out welfare checks cause you and I both know thats not true.

Your taking it slightly out of context. They are saying that people have grown idle and have stopped working and that they should stop that and get to work. That they were models and even when they could ask for handouts they didnt, they paid their own way. That others should do the same. Its basically saying that you will suffer to survive if you dont work (hence you wont eat). The very next passage says, be not weary in well doing. So tts not your job to make sure that others suffer for not doing what they should, God will see to that. And when you look at people who try to survive on wellfare and handouts they live misserable lives. If you think they're living it up at our expense your wrong, they suffer becuase of their own doing. And by us continuing to give you dont make those who are down on their luck going through a hard time suffer with those who are just lazy and dont wnat to work. Then it goes on to say basically to disassoaciate yourself from people who arent productive, but also not to rule them out and look at them as enemies, but to encourage them as your brother. Even the lazy we should care about in other words.

And you say there are such things as a compassionate conservative, and I'm sure that there are. I'm just saying as a whole that is not their demenor. Its one of hate and feeling better than, at least thats how they come off, not of caring. As a Christian i cant associate with that. Every man for himself type of attidute is not of Christ, plain and simple.

What I found interesting in the political discussion is, then when someone says, "GIVE ME A JOB!" the reply comes back, "A job isn't a right..." So, how the heck is someone supposed to work then? And who exactly is going to hire? When you look at welfare, there is talk of reforming it, as in cutting it, to balance the budget. So, people are to work for free?

And I would rather not be in here, but people are spouting the Bible? Why do people spout the Bible as if it is some sort of ammo in a debate. What I do see is a lot of meanness.

One of the said 7 deadly sins, along with gluttony (with the Obesity problem in America a sign of this being ignored), is slothfulness also, which is a combination of both depression and not being willing to work. And yes, there is a lot in regards to being industrious. But it looks like there is selective picking of verses, or individuals go on an Ann Coulter style rant, use very insulting language, and then refer to Jesus whenever it is convenient.

KILLEEN, Texas (AP) — An AWOL soldier who had weapons stashed in a motel room near Fort Hood admitted planning an attack on the Texas post, where 13 people died in 2009 in the worst mass shooting ever on a U.S. military installation, the Army said in an alert issued Thursday.
Pfc. Naser Abdo, a 21-year-old soldier who was granted conscientious objector status this year after he said his Muslim beliefs prevented him from fighting, was arrested Wednesday. Agents found firearms and "items that could be identified as bomb-making components, including gunpowder," in his motel room, according to FBI spokesman Erik Vasys.



The Army alert sent via email and obtained by The Associated Press says the man arrested by Killeen police "was in possession of a large quantity of ammunition, weapons and a bomb inside a backpack." Upon questioning, the alert says, he admitted to planning an attack on Fort Hood. Officials have not offered details about Abdo's possible intentions. The infantry soldier from Garland, Texas, had applied for conscientious objector status last year. A military review board recommended this spring that he be separated from the Army. But the discharge was delayed after he was charged with possessing child pornography and an Article 32 military hearing last month recommended he be court-martialed. He's been absent without leave from Fort Campbell, Ky., since the July 4 weekend.
Abdo's arrest came after the owners of a local gun store — the same store where the 2009 Fort Hood shootings suspect Maj. Nidal Hasan bought a pistol used in the attack — called police, the Army's alert said. Store clerk Greg Ebert said the man arrived at Guns Galore LLC by taxi Tuesday and bought 6 pounds of smokeless gunpowder, three boxes of shotgun ammunition and a magazine for a semi-automatic pistol, paying about $250. Ebert said he became concerned when the man asked questions indicating he didn't know much about the items.
"(We) felt uncomfortable with his overall demeanor and the fact he didn't know what the hell he was buying," Ebert said. "I thought it prudent to contact the local authorities, which I did."

Killeen police learned from the taxi company that Abdo had been picked up from a local motel and that he also had visited an Army surplus store where he paid cash for a uniform bearing Fort Hood unit patches, according to the Army alert. Vasys said the FBI would charge Abdo with possessing bomb-making components and he would be transferred from Killeen police into federal custody. Vasys said there was nothing to indicate Abdo was "working with others." An Oklahoma attorney who has represented Abdo said Thursday he hadn't heard from Abdo in weeks and learned of the arrest from a Texas television station.

"I've been quite anxious to get in touch with him," said attorney James Branum.
Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, faces a possible death sentence when he is tried next year on 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in the 2009 rampage at Fort Hood. {No mention of Hasan being Muslim- why is that?}
The Army post issued a statement seeking to reassure the community after Abdo's arrest Thursday.
