if the heat could somehow lose to the bucks it would make last night sting a bit less.

Douglas is actually having a surprisingly decent year. Low shooting percentage, but he's at least been a useful rotation guy, unlike last year.

Trust me, Mchale dont wait, tonite is not an aberration.

When Lin plays well, he plays him, when he isn't, he sits, like tonite he is sitting.

Douglas is healthy now, not surprised he is playing better.

Have you seen Lin go into chuck mode even once this season?

Every time he shoots a three for sure.

But like i said, he doesn't have free reign to shoot, when he isn't playing well, he gets benched.

He only shoots open 3's though...granted, he hasn't been good at making them, but I'm saying he's almost never going to have a 5 for 19 game.

His game doesn't involve shooting alot, not really sure why you keep mentioning that.

But when you are that poor on threes, which has always been a weakness, it's time to stop, yet he doesn't.

He's had a good stretch of decent games, but that's why I really focus on overall, as I don't watch Lin every game, unlike tonite.

I know what, the youngest team in the league better not blame back to back as an excuse for this at home.

He also doesn't have a big man under the basket that can make put-backs and tip-backs when you penetrate even if you miss.

It wasn't intended to be a major point. I just keep talking about it because of our little back and forth about it. I can drop it.

I think he can do better from outside than he has been...he shot 32% from 3 last year, which is just 1% worse than Felton career %.

I'm not watching this game to compare Lin to Felton, really haven't entertained that part of the convo.

I'm really watching this game because both teams like to run and i wanted to see how they handle OKC.

No grade worse than F, so F-

You win some, you lose some, you lose some badly...especially when you're a ~.500 team.

They don't play well against their conference, the majority of their wins have been against the east.

Collison just inadvertently "Artested" Lin.

Saw the second half of the Rockets/OKC game. Looked like they took away Houston's running game. When their running game is gone they look clueless as to what to do on offense. I don't know if McHale's just a bad coach or not, but if you don't have someone like LeBron to act as a floor coach you've gotta do something. Outside of their running game their offense comprises of almost nothing but on-ball screens and Harden iso.

He has to keep shooting though. They're open shots, and when you're not known as a terrible shooter, you take them. Lin's thing is penetration, we all know that, other players and coaches especially. When he was a Knick his three point shot wasn't exactly a weakness, but it definitely wasn't a strength, yet he could hit them at an acceptable clip to keep defenses honest. From what I've seen, teams just clog the paint on him now.

And why stop? This is Houston's rebuilding year. The fact that they're even above .500 now is surprising. They aren't in a win now mode, it's the time to get their **** together and figure things out for the upcoming seasons. For Lin, it's fixing his shot and learning to play with Harden. Having cut down on turnovers overall (which I would attribute to Harden dominating the ball most of the time) and improved on defense, he's for the most part already fixed the things everyone criticized him for the most last season.

Landry Fields scored a season-high six points tonight.

The west teams for the most part all like to run, which would seem to be to Houston's liking.

But it forces them to have to defend, which they dont do well.....thus next to last in their conference play.

A east team could take notice and just put their fastest lineup on the floor.

The Rockets are going to be so good next year. They faced probably two of the top teams in the west in a b2b. They put up a nice fight against San Antonio and they were gassed against OKC which is what I expected. Plus OKC is on fire right now. They sit 16-14 with the 4th hardest schedule in the league.

Their next 4 games are Atlanta, New Orleans, Milwaukee and Cleveland. They have a good chance at winning 4 straight before facing the Lakers.
