You don't think a team like the suns would trade the Pacers 2014 for Kris Humphries at the deadline if they can't swing for a superstar?

Seriously, watch a few more Celtics games before speaking in such an absolute tone.

Lol, no they wouldn't. Morris brothers, Frye, and Plumlee all provide more than Humphries. Even Alex Len is starting to show something.

It's a hypothetical, and the point still stands. Humphries is playing very well, and is worth a late first rounder, early second rounder. He's not some throw in for a trade, especially since he's expiring.

it's not normal to trade draft picks for expiring role players.

I'll concede to that, however, Humphries has definitely played himself into an asset and I'd appreciate it if Knicks fans didn't lump him together with the **** likes of Gerald Wallace.

Knicks need to keep Hardaway and not get locked in on one name. There are plenty of adequate point guards out there that they could get if they were smart. Also, there are always some guys that come out of nowhere and blow up, Lin, Isiah Thomas, Beverly etc. Wish they would take a run at Pierre Jackson and give him twenty minutes a night to start.

NO COUNTRY FOR YOUNG MEN

Post#267 » by Clyde_Style » Sun Feb 9, 2014 4:10 pm

We should give Boston everything they want, all of our yutes and as many draft picks as they want, for an older player coming off a serious injury and then immediately max him out to the longest possible contract. It wouldn't feel right to do anything less.

We are the New York Knicks dammit and we gladly pay dearly for other teams' hand-me-downs.

Sayonara Shump, Tim and Tyler. You just don't fit into our culture of old men and highly paid cripples. Scram!

And Felton stays! He's a keeper.

Rondo coming off knee surgery greatly increases his value in the eyes of Dolan.

Depends on whether or not they take back a player with an extra year or not. For example if they decided to move him for Boozer.

Tyson Chandler makes 16 million next season. Kris Humpries makes zero.

I'm saying it's absurd to make that assumption, because Rose already had a history of injuries prior to his first acl tear. He only played 39 out of a possible 66 games during the lock out season.

A lot of his freak injuries are attributed to the fact that he plays an erratic style that is very explosive.

Obviously, there is a chance that Rondo might get injured, but you can say the same for every player in the league. It's not a big enough deal that would cause Ainge to sell early, and sell low on his franchise and star player.

And the other piece is Rondo suffered a serious injury and no one can guarantee that he won't become Derrick Rose in that sense. The more I think about it the more I realize that we can pull off a trade with Boston.

See above^ I never said he'd become rose... U gonna stand corrected now? :D

I see that you're implying that he MIGHT reinjure himself LIKE Rose...

As I said

Still waiting for you to correct yourself....

why are folks against cashing out on thjr when his value is at his highest?

considering how others have crashed and burned in value (shump, frye, etc) in the past, I would think its OK to sell high if it gets you a star in return in the package

Knicks in 2016 (no Felton, no JR, no Bargs, no Amare... no Flu Chandler):

Jahlil Okafor (3M)
Carmelo Anthony (17M
Kevin Durant (19M)
Tim Hardaway Jr (2M)
Rajon Rondo (14)

:D :D :D

You compared his situation to Derrick Rose..it's in your post, and you even are looking for a GUARANTEE he wont become Rose.

Why even compare Rondo to a player thats had multiple knee injuries?

What could be better than acquiring an all-star point guard?
