We have no Point guard!!!!!!!! There's no doubting his shooting ability. His finishing at the rim will improve as well.

I'm not trying to pee pee on the parade but I do think there's doubt about his J. Yeah he can shoot and should be fine but we kept waiting for Gallinari to become a great shooter too. All looked good in his form and such, but he's never been deadly from there. KP has a quicker release and it's effortless. All looks like it is there -- but you don't know how high he can go. He has to improve %s there quite a bit and more than that to be really great.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm not sure I'd trade him for any other single player in the league to be honest. Steph and Towns, maybe. AD probably, if not definitely. It's a short list. A very short list.

His all around skill set is beastly. The fact that he's creating at such a young age is promising. even if he is missing. I mean Dirk sucked as a rookie. Good comparison with Gallo, he was a good but somewhat streaky shooter. Will KP be Dirkesque as in shooting 50% from the field? We shall see.

Great win for the team to build some confidence to finish the season. KP showing glimpses of his future potential. I expect him to make a big leap next season because of the work he will put in to improve in the offseason.

The guy that doesn't get as much love as he should is RoLo. He is playing better than any of us could have expected. I knew he would be a good role player but his offense and rebounding has been really impressive. If he can continue to improve that hook shot he could be a boarder line all star. The contract would be a major steal.

Grant should be playing more minutes to gain confidence but I can understand why he only got 16 mins in this game. Shasha was doing a great job against Butler and keeping the pace up after rebounds.

Afflalo is showing more and more that a bench role is where he would be most serviceable. At this point in his career he has to make that adjustment. The Knicks need to find a way to convince and restructure his and D Will's contract in the offseason and keep them as key pieces for the bench squad.

I agree with you, but you know how it is with these skyscraper kids and all the kids that hasnt matured yet - they are constantly growing (not necessarily in height but in physics alltogether) so his feeling of body isnt always on point if you know what I mean(he consistently need to adapt to his 'new' body)

so once his body matures, he will adapt to it and his % will increase

Another note on Jerian is that there was a point in the last two games where I thought Kurt was going to sit him.

- Against the Kings early in the 2nd I think he had a turnover and then missed a layup. Was the usual time Kurt would take him out too. Well he left him in, and then he exploded for that great 2nd quarter.

- While last night Jerian was just pretty quiet in the 1st half, and wasn't doing all that much in the 2nd either. Thought Kurt would pull him after he called a timeout and the team was floundering a little. Right after that Jerian hits a three and makes a nice drive. Followed by hitting another three later.

The coach having confidence in you can make all the difference in the world, and sometimes guys just need to play. I find myself looking over Jerian's shoulder for him after every little mistake he makes now . Meanwhile the rest of our guards can turn the ball over willy nilly and not hit the rim on shots, but nothing happens. It's a funny little game to play whenever one them does something stupid to ask yourself "What if Jerian did that?"

I feel the same way. Any mistake he makes I cringe hoping rambis missed, ala watching asian butt porn.

That's an enjoyable video to watch. Just watching Gasol look like a flopping clown makes my day. Though he'll be a Knick soon.

Shhhh.. It's true, but you can't say that kind of stuff here. LOL

Maybe growing into the role will make him better for it. They must really believe that if he plays too much, he may not be able to follow the plan. He's certainly young enough that his body can withstand a few more minutes.

Thanks for this.

Thank you fam, I always appreciate the feedback. I try to keep my biases in check by focusing on the individual game and recent trends first and foremost and then with some I just acknowledge them (ie: I hate Lance Thomas' game)

Said it before, but Kurt/Cleamons get some credit. It's night and day from when he took over, and we've seen the visual evidence that they're working with him closer than before. Unless you think Jerian just woke up after the all star break and decided to stop being bad, which would be pretty awesome no lie.

Now if only he kept this up and played more than 17 minutes, this team could end the season on a high note like the Bucks, Nuggets, and Wolves. Won't happen until we're mathematically out of it though it seems.

Oh and then there's this:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/KLChouinard/status/712984565447417856[/tweet]

Kinda funny, but give me Jerian still all day.

Jerian looked like he didn't know what to do all year. Tentative compared with what you saw from him in college. Like he was thinking. Maybe Rambis has broken things down better for him.

As much as I rip Calderon he isn't as useless as people say. I admit I get carried away every so often, but he is so much better than Sasha it isn't even funny.... And that's scary to think about lol. Obviously Jose is pretty ****ing awful on defense, but he is trying out there. That is more than I can say for AA a lot of the time. Jose shouldn't be playing the minutes he is. That's on the coach not him.

That being said Grant should be near, if not more, minutes than Jose for multiple reasons..

The best decision I think Rambis made was having Cleamons basically shadow Grant. When Grant's on the bench, Cleamons has to be next to him and they were pretty much handcuffed according the story (I think it was a pregame report). It could be that Grant just figured things out, but I think having an assistant personally giving lessons all damned day probably helped him a lot.

Was that something that was happening all year or just recently? Whatever it is, they seem to be giving him and OQuinn special attention + quick hooks.

I only noticed Jerian sitting next to Jim after Kurt took over. While under Fish it was reported Fish barely talked to Jerian, Derrick, Kyle and many of the other guys, with quotes from the players themselves. One of the first things Kurt said when he took over was that he wanted an open door policy and more communication. Melo then said Kurt was more clear in what he wanted. It's strange because it's the same staff, and you wonder why they weren't doing this before.

It was directly credited to Rambis. And yeah, like you mentioned I think KOQ (and D-will like TW mentioned) have both seemed more comfortable out there. But the Grant story is the only one I'm certain about.

it seems as though KOQ is back out of the rotation for Seraphin again which I don't like.

Especially with 10 games remaining. I know we want to win them all but KS is not going to be on the team next year. Unless KOQ is dealt he will be.

I'd be surprised if KOQ is dealt. From what I've seen, they're grooming him, not showcasing. The players they're overly aggressive with are the ones they actually like. Though Willy coming over could change things in that department.
