Yep, I posted that in the LFT thread.

You think that might explain why he was off to a poor start? Ya think?

He added 20 pounds of suck in the offseason. Might have contributed to it.

Last thought, not game related, on my caffeine related post-a-thon.

Ever notice how KP looks SO much taller than everyone else, to include guys who re theoretically 7'? Now, of course 3" is noticeable in height, but it seems more. My theory. Basically every guy in the league is listed at 1.5 inches taller due to the height taken in shoes, as opposed to the way the rest of the USA is measured in height, in bare/socks feet. I think KP is 7'3" barefoot. He's actually 7'4"/7'5" "NBA height adjusted"

Gotta find a way to get the best out of him. Noah needs to work hard at hitting either a jumper or finishing in the paint.

very hard at the latter. that jumpshot is never going to work.

which is crazy because he was effective with it for a little minute in chicago. i remember that sidewinder going in from 12 feet. he has become such an abysmal scorer that his effectiveness as an orchestrator is sapped.

i am cool with everything else.

hard to argue with the results of how much better this team looked with that smaller lineup. dallas is depleted, but they played with a lot of heart last night.

Wasn't he like 7"1.5 without shoes when drafted?

Thanks guys, we really needed this. This loss gave back my faith after that ugly Lakers win. If we can play like that with a four-day preparation, anything is possible.

Probably. I don't remember. I just went with the 7'3" they listed. It's just he looks more than 3 inches taller than 7 footers. Maybe he grew. It's probably something of an optical illusion because he's thin.

I haven't been to a game, but my brother has, with seats that are close, and he said "He's so much taller than everyone on the court, and I mean even the centers"

Chill with the Noah hate, dude could barely make a layup or jumpshot his whole career. We will need him and his intangibles if we are to do anything of note this year.

Rose is sloppy and can't hit anything outside of the paint. Shots in the paint only drop about 45% of the time anyway. At this rate, he'll be lucky to nab a starting job in the league next year. He won't admit it, but he's still playing scared. As he put it, he's not reckless anymore. Thing is, reckless Rose was successful Rose. He can dunk still, but he's morphed into this..something. I don't even know.

Actually, yes. I do know. He reminds me of Ricky Bobby after the accident, lol. A self-imposed shell of himself.

Noah consistently gets bodied by quality centers. His advantage used to be agility, a quick second hop and playing hard the whole game. He plays hard still, but is a step slow and just not strong enough.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good win, but against a heavily depleted Mavs team. I've seen one quality win this season and that was the Chicago game. LOTS of room for improvement.

Interesting numbers...

5 out of the 6 losses, the Knicks were held under 100 pts. This is their first win under 100 pts for the season.

Only the second time they've held an opponent under 100 pts.

It tells me a thing or two and that being, the sacrifice of personal numbers that modern sports fans have grown accustomed to monitoring for.

Much like we saw in the 2nd half, they space the floor for their scoring options to do what they do best. They're solid. Harris, who they got for nothing, is having a borderline All Star year so far.

Even if Noah is having a good game, you have to give the Melo 4 KP 5 combo at least 20 MPG. I know we don't have the reliable swing men to maximize it, but even then I'd still make sure we leverage the obvious advantage we have with those two playing a position up.

He can't do it offensively every night, but I'm happy he got to show what he can bring to the table on the defensive end. Keep this up and he's going to get paid this summer. Can someone confirm we only have his early bird rights, not full?

There were folks saying we should cut him in the offseason and send Kuz back to Europe.

the knicks are so confused as usual
they hire a coach who wants to play small, fast and spread the court
the gm then fills the roster with bigs
good job

It is all based on who we are playing. We are 10 games into the season and Hornacek has to determine what works. We had a short pre-season due to the trial and also noah injury. Some of these games seemed like a pre-season game. AS he figures out the rotations that work we will be a much better team. Noah can be a really good asset for us on defense. He was never a scorer and we all knew that.

At the 20 game mark will be when we have to be worried...we are fine right now 1 game out of the playoffs. It takes teams time to gel...let it marinate!

New York traded center Robin Lopez, guard Jose Calderon and guard Jerian Grant to Chicago, which shipped guard Justin Holiday, Rose and a 2017 second-round pick back to the Knicks.
