He’s almost 33 and on the decline. I think the reality is that we are not going to get a ton for Melo.

If the standings hold up, this swap would guarantee’d a top 4 pick in a top heavy draft with a great chance at a top 3 pick rather then pick 11. There is a risk, but we would be increasing our odds tremendously at drafting a great player and it could be a huge difference between pick 11 and top 3 pick.

Draft night may not work. If Boston ends up with the top pick, they may not even consider trading it. They may not even consider that now tbh.

This draft is looking great with prospects at the top that could fit perfect so that is a big reason I'd do it.

I'm really not that interested in LAC picks in the 2020's. KP will be on his 2nd contract and will be close to his prime. At that point, I'm trying to win games, not develop rookies. I guess those picks could be valuable as trade chips if the Clippers end up being that bad.
