With the recent changes in the Eastern conference, team ownership has told GM Hoffa to spend to the Cap and have made MJ available for a meeting with Devin Booker. Morant will also be present at meeting.

I don't know why the NBA is bothering with a draft combine. After a shortened NCAA season Teams have had plenty of time to watch clips on twitter and youtube, and are more than ready to make their picks. No valuable info will be found in actually evaluating players in person. Glad we decided NOT to move the draft date. :roll:

I do understand both points of view. I can understand why some people would want to delay the draft by another month to keep it on schedule like normal the week before the actual draft. Get as much info as you can especially for someone like you who has so much invested in this draft. But conversely, this has been such a long and difficult offseason I can understand why some would want to move it along and get back to the fun part of BaF. As fun of a distraction as our bubble tourney was for a few weeks it has kind of lost some steam recently. Another 6-7 weeks with no activity could be a death blow to what we have here. Also, I'm kind of holding out hope that the SIM developers release their version around the normal time at the end of November. Even if they delay a month and we can start 1/1/21 its better then the alternative of waiting a month after the actual NBA starts like we normally have to do. I'm not looking forward to simming our season next summer because we can't start the sim season until February.

Saying that, the voting is still open until Sunday night. After that, whichever side leads is what we'll go with and we'll move ahead with our offseason. If the voting stays as it is now, and our draft remains in October, I may change our schedule around just a bit regarding our dead period and FA. But I will wait to make that announcement until we know for sure how the vote will turn out.

Yeah its a tricky situation regardless. I am cool with either. (its looking like we are going to end up keeping the date which is fine by me) Obviously there wont be a ton of new information but if people have so much invested obviously if there is new information about a prospect background or injury that does pop up it would be nice to know that prior to us drafting.

I guess I see it as we will have a month delay now or extra month delay after the draft. So there will be a delay either way. I suppose after the draft you might get an uptick on more moves or get a head start on FA to keep excitement but you would think with this group we know the pros and cons to keeping it and moving it back.

The only reason to keep it probably is just people getting antsy and not being patient.

Bum simmons probably failed his physical or maybe has to be announced after the draft as it involves picks and one team may not be able to trade until after draft ..so if it is still unofficial go submit your dame offers prwtty sure a bunch of teams can beat a bum and dante offer
