yeah whoever takes over in the FO will have 2 years to rebuild this team because they will not be able to do anything this year or next with there cap situation.

They will have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds next year (including the bears 1st). So all is not lost if you get a good GM to come in an replace the disaster that has been Gettleman. But I don't trust Mara to hire the right guy because he is at the root cause of all that is wrong with the Giants...since he is so stuck in his old ways.

They have spent so much money on non key positions. They have so much equity tied up in the secondary and interior DL which is not how you win in todays NFL. The defense has been so disappointing this year.

I don't trust him to go outside the organization to find new blood to turn this around.

Jones has looked like a good NFL QB
Toney looks like a star
Andrew Thomas looks like a franchise LT

other than that though not much to get excited about.

I know the injury yesterday was a fluke for Barkley but I don't know how you can invest long term in him with his injury past. Such a disaster.

Also using a 1st round pick on Dexter Lawerence who I never see make a play or Leonard Williams getting nearly Aaron Donald money to be a no show. The cowboys ran down our throats and the defense is relatively intact and healthy.

Yea, it’s hard to have any faith that ownership will hire the right guy. Def stuck in the past and trying build an NFL team like it’s the 90s. The game has changed and they refuse to move on.

The allocation/resources to the wrong positions from Gettleman has been really awful. Then also picking some of the wrong guys. I do love Barkley but No way they can pay him a lot of money

another DG favorite is spending on useless vets like Kyle Rudolph and Devonte Booker. Those guys are nearly making 10 MM this year at spots and production that could easily get replicated by young guys that make nothing.

They did this when they signed Jonathan Stewart who's best days were well behind him and its just wasted cap resources in a tight cap league where every dollar counts.

Golden Tate when they have Shepard, over paying Ogletree when he was on the decline, overpaying 3rd stringers, botching the o-line rebuild, ignoring the pass rush...even investing a lot in Golloday when we have Shephard and plan to draft a WR in the first round...so many moves just dont make sense.

John Gruden out as Raiders head coach. Who are these people who find these tweets from 10 years ago?

If Daniel Jones is actually the guy you can move forward with, then that is plenty for the new GM to build from. Capital can be used to build from that and a total rebuild from the studs isn't necessary.

Giants have issues for sure and need upgrades at EDGE and O-line, but there is talent on this roster that is either injured or being blatantly mismanaged.

The coaching has been atrocious.

The NY Times article on him was hysterically funny. Gruden insulted women NFL referees, Used grossly wrong terms for gay people in describe Goodell, and also used racist language towards people of color. It wasn't one or two emails, it was a trove. He told other owners to suck his sausage, and sent around topless photos of some Washinton cheer leaders.

There are so many things he did that I'm sure the Times spent more time trying to figure out euphemisms for all the things he said than they did writing the article. The guy comes off looking quite insane - he threw away $10M/year.

Actually, the Times did print a word beginning with F in describing what he said about people he wanted to insult for being gay. Not sure RealGM wants that word here, though.

Nah...they gotta get Dan Snyder. Whatever Gruden did, I'm guessing Snyder was 100x worse.

A lot of these owners...you know they're not clean.

Well, I mean, yeah

Really hard to get rid of owners though

I mean, look at what it took to get rid of Sterling.

Gruden was anti-concussion protocol. What a POS this guy is. He’s done. No more sponsors. No more TV. No more coaching. I guess he’ll start a podcast.

Hold the line Wingo...I actually think we might be on to something but probably need one more offseason for it to really take shape (because man do we need a TE). Considering that Becton is off the O-line, Lawson off the D-line, and Maye out of the secondary...we're missing some of our best pieces in key position groups.

Also LaFleur has been plain bad, but I'm hoping the bye-week with Saleh gets him to tighten up. There's no way the game script should be the worst part of the offense on a weekly basis, that's just nuts.
