As for Randle, it's fair to hate on him for the time being since he's not a Knick, eventually it'll dissipate, but obviously people who didn't like his game have full bellies after his first game.

Read on Twitter

The classics.

No, KAT ain't my guy, yet. He has to earn that.

I only talk about Randle when someone else brings him up. Like I said, rent free. I wish him all the success in the world, but I don't have any reason to bring him up. But I am going to kindly check people who are like, "OMG, same ole Randle -5 in -/+" with as little context as possible.

So the guy on your team isn't your guy because he hasn't earned it, but the guy on the Wolves that never earned it in the playoffs gets your support and defense. That really checks out, keep doing the pro bono work.

Randle wore that jersey far longer than KAT, so yes, he has my respect. But again, I don't bring up Randle anymore like you guys do. It's petty. He's gone. Congrats. Stop posting about him and I'll stop jumping in to put some contexts on the hate.

You don't need to bring him up, you're the random lady in a fight video screaming at the top of your lungs when someone is getting jumped. It solves nothing and saying it over and over again doesn't matter. Just mind your business and move along, you can try and take the holier than thou route if you want, we're indeed petty and have no time for what you talking about. He's getting jumped whether you like it or not.

These Randlewolves fans have the craziest rationale for why they won't accept a newly acquired 4x All-Star Knick, but but go out on a limb to defend a career failure who got jettisoned from the Knicks.

He keeps saying he didn't bring up Randle like that means anything, he's out here defending him every time his name is mentioned. The capper is saying KAT is "our" guy like he's not on the Knicks or something. Tragic

You're damn right I'm going to provide some context to this ridiculous anti-Randle nonsense. I'll do the same for Grimes, Divo, IQ, RJ, Rose, and any other former Knick that's worth grain of salt.

I fine this stupid logic to instantly be on some bangwagon. Like, how am I at fault for saying the man has to earn my fandom? I don't do blind loyalty. Like, am I suppose to instantly be like, "Yeah, that's my guy" when I never even wanted him here? Just like every other Knick that wore this jersey, he has the earn that.

Was Randle your guy when he signed before his 1st game regular season game? Was Divo our guy before he showed us what he's made of? We sure of hell wasn't singing praises when the Knicks traded for Josh. Plenty of skeptics back then with some people saying Reddish was better.

This is OT and nothing to do with yall's argument but this made me laugh because I know exactly what No Dope is talking about

"STAAAAAAHP!!!! STAAAAAHP!!"

Literally every fight video on reddit.

My favorite was when the dude from McDonald's got jumped by two women behind the counter and he proceeded to teach them a good lesson with a metal rod from the kitchen. I never heard someone scream so loudly for the violence to stop...but it meant nothing. The McDonald's worker wasn't stopping until the threat was neutralized.

*crack!!*

*cracccccck!!!!*

nah. i won't personally celebrate it. someone on our team should have retaliated though at that time. that's how you're supposed to handle that.

100%.

I've always said I would never celebrate injury. Celebrate might be a strong word but Embiid changed that. The words "karma's a bitch" will certainly be involved.

I liked the Randle signing and the DDV deal. Randle earned all the hate he got though but, more importantly, Melo gets the hate he deserves for the Standle antics!!! I am here for it.

You can be the knight in shining armor if you want. You will get shyt for it too though. You seem to be taking it personally. BJ/Low IQ/Slimes can kick rocks!

4/64 or 4/72 from the Knicks? I hope you really wouldn't settle for the extra $6M for an extra 2 years of your service.

iHart received a 2 year/$16M contract from the Knicks after being a relatively unknown backup that bounced around the league. Two years later he received a 2 year deal for $58.5M with a 3rd year team option to take it up to $87M. You think that if in two years the Thunder don't pick up the 3rd year option he should be concerned with possibly not being able to make up the $13.5M difference in the 4 year Knicks deal and the 2 year Thunders' deal in what should be the prime of his career with a higher cap?

What do you think the probability is that he ends up losing money for not taking that deal? Near worst case scenario he would receive nearly $8M total for 2 years as a minimum salary player with 8 years of service at that time. On the flip side he could have his 3rd year option picked where he would have already made $15M more in 3 years than he would made on 4 years with the Knicks with the opportunity to get another big deal before even reaching the age of 30.

I can see different reasons for him to leave but I don't see any reason for him to stay financially.

Yep, that's on me: 4/72 mil. No one is going to convince me that 2/58 where your role isn't clearly defined is better than 4/72 because he was pitched really well. You also don't pay that kind of money for a super-reserve if there wasn't an idea to move him for a bigger target because coincidentally there's quite a few exceptional FA's that year.

If he wanted to stay, and he was legit about all this comradery bravo, you take that money and stay.

How did the comradery work out for Donte? You want iHart to take $13-14M less per year to stay loyal to a roster that only has 3 players that have played more than 2 seasons here? McBride and Sims may have only survived this long because they have been on dirt cheap deals and if Mitch could stay healthy for a moment he may have been shipped out this off-season also.

For all we know iHart accepts the Knicks deal and Rose still trades for KAT either involving iHart in the deal or possibly putting him in the same exact position he is in OKC with Chet or he possibly just becomes the next trade chip in the new revolving door of Knicks players. I'm sure iHart would feel like an idiot if he was sitting on another teams bench after being traded with much less money in his pockets.

It feels like just yesterday you were telling us Randle wasn't going anywhere as he was having ribbon cutting ceremonies, kissing babies and handing out turkeys while surrounded by Thibs and Knicks legends. He is now sitting in Minnesota but you want iHart to stay for the comradery. Do you feel like if iHart stayed Randle would still be here or something?

Knicks were adamant on not trading Donte. Many have reported on this. The deal was on the table for months, and the Knicks refused to include Donte in the deal. It's no coincidence that a week after Robinson was ruled out that this KAT trade goes down, followed by the announcement that Robinson will be out until January. Certain things had to happen before the Knicks pulled this KAT trade. And they all involved the questionable center position. I-Hart was the first domino.

The Knicks weren't forced to make any of the deals they made this summer. They chose to. From bringing in Mikal for a good chunk of their draft capital to trading Randle and Donte for Kat. There were other options but these are the choices they made.

Just out of curiosity do you believe that if iHart had re-signed that Randle would still be here and would have been extended eventually?

I have an agenda to push

you're mistaken if u think I will stop posting about Julius Randle ! ! !

the difference is, when I trash talk Julius it isn't done in code. I dont mislead people into thinking I have some moral or ethical high ground when presenting my opinion

If Randle was traded when he sucked 4 years ago no one would even be talking about him or defending him in here. We maxed out his value since then and traded him for a younger upgrade. Best of both worlds for everyone. His Stans got to troll the board for five years. His haters got to watch the team be built into a contender while he was here. We all get to enjoy having a better team now that he is traded.

He's no longer a Knick. Who cares what he does he rest of his career? Who cares what people say about him around here? He's the opponent now. Fuq him. If he had more value we would still have DDV. It's over. Now we get to troll his Stans. Win/win for everyone!
