Lets be honest, if the counted these assist as if it is still 1979, the Knicks would not have nearly as much. I didn't pay attention to the first 44, but the 45th one was such a non-assist, it made my head hurt. Great game though, some higher force made me wake up at 5:30 am, and I had the time to watch the game before going to work. I hate those days, when I have to avoid everything NBA just so I can watch the game after work.

We also lost Cam for a decent stretch and then Deuce for a third of the games. We needed depth too often on both sides of the ball. Especially in the fourth quarter of almost all of the losses. We should have a better record and WILL have a better record if everyone is healthy.

Josh Hart is now shooting over 60% from the floor....60% for a 6'4 player is beyond ridiculous.

Then factor in he's nearly at 9 rebounds per game.

We got this man for Cam freakin Reddish!

Morning thoughts.

1. I don't think it's premature anymore to say this is the best offensive Knicks team we have ever seen. But I thought Thibs couldn't coach a modern day NBA offense? Hope all you trolls heard Crawford say Thibs was the most prepared and most competitive coach he's ever played for. Thibs has his team clicking on all cylinders! 45 assists?!?! FN11 and you all can EABOD.

2. OG is approaching a level I don't think most here didn't think was possible. We knew we were getting and elite defensive player but I never in my wildest dreams saw this type of bag or scoring coming. The thread title is correct! This guy is Kawhinoby!

3. Just a few games ago we had KnicksGmen and others complain that Brunson isn't a true PG and he sucks and he cannot pass. Please STFU and sit down and stop embarrassing yourselves! That pick and roll with KAT is lethal and unstoppable and only going to get better.

4. Mikal will get going. He's not this bad of a shooter. He'll never be a 40% shooter from 3 but has proven he can be average with 37%. I'm still fully confident he will end up with close to that average at seasons ends. He's getting good looks! They are just not falling down. It happens.

5. KAT outplayed Joker in his house. 30 and 15 and nobody is really talking about it cause of the 145 points and 45 assists and 40 points from OG but that was a statement game from KAT.

6. Deuce, Payne and Sims are playing well and doing their jobs off the bench.

absolutely brillant.

1. Frozen...I still know this team isnt a finished product because of the missing players and the completion of what their chemistry will be. LOOK OUT when that happens!
2. I'm not surprised. I saw OG do this in the play-offs against Indy when Brunson left for the 1st half in game 2.
3. Brunson was 5th in MVP voting last year.
4. Chemistry adjustments...great things take time...In Mikal's case he's still in the adjustment period...
5. I saw that last year in the play-offs when Kat and the Wolves beat Denver. Thats when I knew Kat grew...

Finch's offense was primarily KAT staying out of ANT's way. Thibs offense seems better suited for KAT. Personally, I thought we were going to see the same sort of offense from T-Wolves here. Thibs shocked me.

It was more Gobert clogging the paint. KAT was doing this before Gobert arrived then they got Gobert and turned KAT into Ryan Anderson

That was their offensive mantra. KAT stretching the offense allowed ANT to drive a lot more, get to the line more. ANT emergence took the ball out of KAT's hands to transform him into a stretch big. But regardless, the offensive sets here is different than what Finch is running. Finch is still mostly running plays as if KAT is still on the team. KAT is playing more top of the key here than he was in Minny. You can argue there's a bit more maturity to his offense here, too. He isn't doing stupid passes like he has done so in the past.

I think another part of it is the KAT is just more effective offensively at the 5, especially with shooters all around him. He has a much better matchup advantage because he can shoot so well and can go around most centers because of his quickness and agility. At the 4 he isn’t able to beat many guys off the dribble and has to work a little more on the post but with Gobert there it makes it tougher for him to have the room.

OK, but Reddish is shooting 64.3% from the floor, and the same from 3, so.....

Also, don't forget the great Kris Murray, who was also traded for the guy who refused to score in the most important part of the year. The preseason.

Leon has been amazing. Hands down! This is the best FO we have had in my time as a fan. Period. This roster is pretty balanced and loaded with talent on paper. EASILY 10 deep when healthy. Team reminds me of the Howard Jones song... Things can only get better.

The only way we’d get 3 all stars is if we were 1st in the conference and we are far from that

We will be lucky if we get 2 all stars (we should get that if we stay top 3-4) and if we only get 1 it is going to be towns
Atleast we know Towns will likely be a starter.

I'm not sure it's this simple for Bridges.

We know he changed his form.

And his defense hasn't been good.

We really need him to not suck if we are going to reach our ceiling.

He'll be fine...you'll see...just enjoy the ride while they fine tune this "new" engine Moose
