Otherwise, I'll have the same familiar palpitations.

Yeah if he just reverts back to what wasn't working, I give up all hope.

Its always a possibility with Thibs but IMO it should be a fireable offense if he goes go away from something that clearly worked without ever giving it another try. I say we repeat what we did last game and what happens happens.

Wright and Shamet make $2.0/1.3 million each, what the hell are you expecting off the bench for that? And why even criticize them after they gave quality minutes. Some of these dudes don't deserve to see us win.

Ngl, idgaf about iq or any of this. Im struggling to function with all these nerves about this upcoming game. Its swinging from dread, worried we're going to get blown out, to unhinged excitement thinking about leveling this series.

Time to meditate n get that mind right for war tonight!

this won't embed because it's a youtube short, and they were only introduced 5 years ago, so we should see that function added to realgm sometime in 2035 but.......

jesus. if we lose this series because of that shot.

i think wright is fine for a few minutes here and there but i trust shamet like i trust melo locked in a candy store overnight.

and both at the same time.....playing with fire. like green arrow with a lighter under a crossing guard's arm who's duct taped in his basement.

I think emotion control is all that he really needs. (And a pumpfake here and there?)

He should be able to do this but mental hurdles can be the biggest ones. And no, he doesn't have enough support from the coach on this. He should be treated in a specific way to make sure he produces results. Instead I think he's often overlooked. Is what it is.

And even if he can't do it this series, which would suck, it's unfair. Because he was basically the top contributor in what should be two wins so far in this series. His margin of error is low due to very little fault of his own.

I have seen KAT been harshly called a mental midget, which is definitely taking it too far. But I can see the frustration. What is pulling KAT back is his beta-personality. MVP type of talent with a Number 2/3 guy mindset. He would rather follow orders and see his teammates succeed rather than getting his personal glory. I guess some were just meant to be knights (albeit a very powerful one) instead of kings.

KAT has to be empowered, which Thibs and his teammates have done a poor job of doing. I fear that unfortunately, this will cost us this series.

If Brunson and Kat can't play together, how did they make the all nba team. lol

It's defensively that's the problem. Offensively they are both elite players.

Shamet was actually net positive on the season, all we need from them is to hold water for a few minutes, keep the Pacers working harder to score and limit McConnell from looking like white CP3.

When they played together we were -.78 on the season in a small sample size, which isn't bad all things considered, they couldn't score, but they stopped opponents from scoring.

Good. I don't need Pacers fans getting all in their feelings saying we beat them cuz they were banged up. We just went through that with Boston, no need for more crybabies.

that's against the whole league though. just good teams are a different story i'm sure. and in the playoffs, look it worked last game but i don't feel very confident in it.

I don't think anyone wants to see them play 24 mins each. But cycling them in and mixing and matching them to help the defense and keep guys fresh for the 4th shouldn't be a tall ask. OG and Mikal will still be out there anyway.

No team is truly 10 men deep. Even Indiana. There is always a talent drop off after your first 6 or 7 guys. But you still have to develop roles for the average guys in your rotation and not rely so heavily on your top 5. Tom historically sucks at that, so I don't really think letting them play instead of having 7 guys trying to keep up with the Pacers 11 man rotation is playing with fire at all. It’s common sense.

Take the code from the URL:

Shamet is a streaky shooter but he's been pretty decent as a defender. I could care less about Shamet or Wright scoring tho. They need to play defense and hustle for 50/50 balls. Scoring isn't our issue.

Shamet played well against the Pacers in the one regular season game he got burn against them (a win).

They aren't going to give much on offense, but just being active on defense and Shamet in particular is good at fighting around screens, it's better than Cam. The Pacers don't have any killer one on one players outside of Siakam, almost everything else they do is dependent on screens, I'll take my chances with them over Cam.
