Of course he “has some fans” in the organization. Sam Rose is his agent.

I want the Knicks to trade up for him. He’s gonna be good

Same, he looks like he can be a rotational piece. He checks all the boxes the Knicks like in a guard prospect. He has long arms, can shoot the 3, high FTA rate, older, CAA client.

We should dangle cash considerations and buy some second rounders to stash overseas.

We have done a lot of business with the Hornets over the years. Also with them trading Mark Williams to the Suns, Huk might look like a real good cost controlled replacement.

We better get a lot more for Huk than a second.
We can probably do a 2 for 1 move up w 2 of our many seconds.

Screw it, just take another Villanova guy, Eric Dixon. Pick and Pop PF to replace Precious. No real defense to speak of but at least will spread the floor.

Wouldn’t mind Koby Brea as a shooting specialist.

NY's cap situation, they either need to shed salary (probably by trading Mitch, which I think is a mistake), or they need probably 2 2nd rounders on the roster, maybe 3. I don't think Euros is a priority.

Not that you're wrong in principal. If they had a first rounder, I could see them drafting a Euro to stash or trading the first for a couple 2nds. But in their current financial rock and a hard place, I think they want a couple college 2nd rounders they can experiment with this year.

We'll know soon enough.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

A word about the Nets draft . . . (I don't want to make a new thread). The Nets are tanking, not team building. They want to look at a bunch of players, but they're not trying to build a winner yet. That's why them going into the season with 5 first round picks isn't crazy. It'll help them tank.

Now . . . does someone want to take the counterpoint and say that the Nets will be good?

 I am clearly overreacting to a 5 play sample size.
Looks like Hart/OG/Sims had a baby. With better handles.

Yeah draft with this regime been cheeks. They didn’t draft for need with Thibs thought we had enough. I doubt they target a guy because of the cap or some bs.

I think the Knicks bench for all intents and purposes sucks.

I think getting cheap role players with 2nd round picks is a smart play. So much so that I would try and trade up into the 40s or even the 30s and look at these players:

Adou Thiero
Rasheer Fleming
Jamir Watkins
Koby Brea
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I believe the Knicks are linked to all of them? Thiero looks good. Haven't seen anything on the others. The cap will force us to draft someone. It's why player development is on the list of needs with the next HC.
