you never really know. the nets 3 main guys have some health problems. lopez just had another foot procedure. and garnett isn't healthy either. pierce is old and doesn't look too good. this could end up like the lakers this year. it's a risk.

PORTLAND PUBLICLY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE LOPEZ FOR ALDRIDGE.

if this goes down ny has to make a move to add pieces

go for gordon or another player who can create own shot

This is a bank heist by Boston.

3 1st rounders for 2 medicaid men and an expiring contract? Wallace will roll off their books when the Celts rebuilding process turns a corner.

This move is real shortsighted and Prok has managed to fool people into buying this plan.

You mean the series that went six games with Boston missing their best player?

I'm not saying they are going to run away with the division now but they get better - no doubt about it.

That series went 6 because the team as a whole lost focus. But that's another discussion altogether.

I'm not denying that the Nets will get better this upcoming season. But does this moves strike fear or panic in me? Absolutely not. Too many fans in here with this "shook" defeatist attitude. This Nets team even with KG and Pierce does not get past the Pacers or Bulls. You'll see short term regular season success, but failure in the playoffs. Just like our team this past season.

Also the series where most of our team played like sh*t, Carmelo got injured, and Jeff Green played like prime Pippen

We are in such a bad situation with not knowing about Jr, Cope, Martin, Prigs. It's really hard to make a move. But we could be in major trouble if we lose all 4, If the BK deal goes down in an even worse situation.

If the Nets get PP, KG and JET for basically nothing but late first round picks years from now they will be better then us. Adding those three guys to Williams, JJ and Lopez make the Nets no worse then the second best team in the East. Add the championship experience and toughness of the Celtics to the Nets and are they better? Yes, they take on salary and lose future picks, but this trade makes the Nets title contenders the next year or two.
All-Time Draft

PG- Oscar Robertson/Bob Cousy
SG- Earl Monroe/James Harden/Dana Barros
SF- Billy Cunningham/Michael Finley/Chet Walker
PF- Elvin Hayes/Dolph Schayes/Tom Chambers/Danny Manning
C- Walt Bellamy/Neil Johnston/Darryl Dawkins

Those 4 are not making or breaking the team. The core of the team needs to change. Felton or Chandler are the only 2 tradeable guys who we should shop around.

Chandler/Camby
Amare
Melo
Shump/Novak
Felton

No depth besides a rookie and whoever we get off the scrap heap

I agree Tyson needs to go, but I don't see us winning anything if we lose those 4, middle of east.

Removing the depth aspect for a second, that lineup is not getting past any of Brooklyn, Miami, Indiana or Chicago. We need to do something. I'm not sure Grunwald is the guy who can pull something like this out of his ass. I would have more confidence with Walsh at the helm.

If we lose all 4 I will make a sig bet with you... I guarantee we wont win as many games this year.

We always underestimate the "little things". Sheed was key in that 18 win start we had...just to make a point. JR whether we like him or not or he blew up in the post season after the elbow. No JR we don't win the division. No Prigs and Martin we don't go on that 13/14 game winning streak. And Cope contributed significantly as well...

We're not winning as many games WITH them if we keep the same core for next season. That's my point.

Woj saying it's up to KG now. If this goes down, BK becomes a major fake contender. Certainly better than us if their old asses can stay healthy.
