He's a pitbull out there. Good defence and a good 3 point shot. He's not a playmaking PG but he brings that tough and grit that's lacking in point guards these days.

Sorry to say but doesn't seem likely we'll be making a trade with you guys. No picks and getting Shump when we already have a logjam at SG doesn't make sense.

There's only two explanations for this. Either there's a third team involved where Shump goes or Masai is using you guys to bring the value of Klow up

you're rebuilding. log jams are meaningless. shump is still on a rookie contract next year. he's an asset. you might build up his value there.

He's a RFA this offseason though?

From the rumours I've been reading about, he thinks his value is a lot higher than it should be.

There's no way I want to make this trade and them see Shump demand 9-10 mill +

Don't get it twisted Lowry is a better PG than Felton. In pretty much every facet. Is he way better? No. But he is better, pure and simple.

I'd salivate at that trade. Afflalo would be perfect here...and that's why it won't happen.

He's a great defender and he became a very good offensive player too. Melo would hardly get double teamed because Aaron would make them pay each time.

The Magic do this trade why?

They wouldn't. I bolded that it won't happen.

I am afraid that he is going to fleece us again but otherwise I like the idea of Lowry.

did not know one player made a team...

They don't have that much talent at the other positions. Melo + JR > Gay and Derozan. Amir is good but he's been riding the pine a lot cause Casey is a Woodson disciple. They win more games cause Lowry pushes the pace.

He is way better than Felton. Lets not overestimate Felton. He isn't even a top 50 Pg while Lowry is pretty good when healthy. Felton is a decent 2nd string PG at best.

Keep Shump.

You can do cap crap, a 2018 pick protected for the lottery, and take back Fields which dumps them a big salary but also fits fine with our cap clearing in the summer of 2015.

If somehow they'd take JR, you go JR, Felton, Aldrich, 2018 lottery protected for Lowry and Fields. Done.

aren't the knicks in the driver seat though, toronto is tanking, they just traded for another PG.

they have no need for lowry. And he is basically a 1 year rental. How much return could they be expecting?

I've seen Lowry a lot too. Going back to when he was in college. Good player but I think some of you have serious grass is greener on other side syndrome. He is not way better than Felton. He is better. He has bad tendencies just like Felton but he won't kill you as much as Felton does.

Also, Kyle Lowry is a free agent this summer. It wouldn't be wise to give up too many assets on a guy that can leave us for nothing.
