I don't think anyone is taking Andersons deal if the rumors true. Rockets really have zero movable assets, only draft picks that are far far in the future. I think the only person they can realistically trade for is Melo. Morey is definitely planning something and it doesn't involve Ryan Anderson.

Crap, I thought we were still talking about Melo for non-guaranteed deals only. My bad. I'm not taking on Anderson's deal unless we're getting 3 firsts.

they don't have enough non guaranteed deals to get us there. I think they may be getting close to Eric Gordon and NGT deals for Melo. Still would want a pick though.

I dont think they would move Gordon for Melo coming off the 6th man of the year award and they probably wont move Gordon. If we get a pick back it better be unprotected

It's addition by subtraction at this point.

I mentioned him a while back as a prospect and no one said a word. What do you think of his upside?

Anderson + Hartenstein + future 1st for Melo.

Porter or Oubre + Parts for Melo.

I must have missed it. Bigger, better rebounding Donatas without the high level passing (still a good one), shot, or handle (which was never really used in Donatas' case).

I would rather get back non-guaranteed contracts plus a pick and then Knicks can cut all those players and open up massive cap space.

No thanks to Anderson.

Dillon? From Oregon? Not sure, but he's not on the ESPN roster. I was never a fan of Brooks, to be honest. He's like a worse version of Tobias Harris - not a 3, not a 4. They do have Isaiah Taylor (from Texas) who is lightning fast, pesky defender, and a good and smart passer but he's a poor shooter (at least he was during college). He's similar to Ish Smith. I'd ask for him as well.

No way do you accept Ryan Anderson in any Melo deal.
For that, you just keep Melo.

Ryan Anderson can't play SF. Acquiring him would be idiotic & he has a longer contract than Melo

You don't bench him. For what? We'd be giving a negative image out there again to players but this time without Phil.

Has SLAM ever scooped anything?

Carmelo Anthony has told the Knicks that he wants a buyout—but his demand comes with a major stipulation.

Anthony reportedly would only accept a buyout—for less than the $54.2 million owed him—to join the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It was previously reported that Carmelo would consider a buyout to join Chris Paul and James Harden in Houston, but that appears to be no longer the case.

That seems like NON News. Who cares where he wants to play? He can make that choice if bought out?

Stephen A. Smith: “Correct. I’m not saying that it’s a lot less, but I’ve learned that he’s made it very, very clear that the one team he’d accept the buyout for is Cleveland.” […]
