Re: PG: Lakers vs. Frank
Great win in a game we usually would have lost in years past. It feels so good to shut that Clown Ball up and with him his overrated son. It was bad enough we let him have an Impact on the game but thankfulls Frank put an end to it...
Now this is the type of game we've all been waiting for with Frank, not only some nice Plays here or there but a Performance that was complete, important for the Team all around and with huge Impact. Also on the stat sheet, that should give him confidence.
KP back in the groove... man, what a Player...

He just is such a better all-around player then Dennis Smith JR.
I love DSJ, but I agree with that. Frank moves and thinks like a future superstar. If there was ever a player whom the stats didn't do justice for, it's Frank.

Re: PG: Lakers vs. Frank
The next step for Frank is to actually finish off his drives. He is already showing a great knack for passing out of the pick and roll and finding the Screen man to the hoop (especially with O'Quinn). He is also very comfortable with the pick and Pop (mainly with KP). But when he actually finishes in the lane it will give him even more and easier passing Options and Teams will be forced to give him more room for his Jumper.

The KP-Frank two-man game should be like the Dirk-Terry two-man game on steroids. One day soon!

Thinking wild if Frank becomes a hybrid of Tony Parker and Kahwi, while KP becomes another hybrid of Dirk and Ewing then we should smell contenders.
The Spurs model is Duncan Parker Manu, we may aim to develop a third star and let them grow together.

I'll leave it to others for the joke in here about Jen Stelter, back, KP and his D.

You'll always have Ingram.
I mean, personally, I don't favor talented wings who throw the ball into the stands 5 times a game though.

nykfan42 wrote:Frank just keeps looking more comfortable out there. Letting him play through all that and watching him play well was fun to watch. He was draining 3's and penetrating and finding open guys.
Dougie is so good at moving without the ball and cutting to basket. Getting him was nice.
Beasley looked very good too. Those fools kept putting small guys on him and he took advantage.
KP is just simply a beast. He worked for those points and got shafted on a few no-calls. Still dropped 30+ and proves to everyone why he will soon be one of the best players in the NBA. Frankie and him are the future. No tanking, go watch the Nets.
1. If anything, I think Frank is a little too unselfish... as stated, he'll learn that his aggressiveness will fool defenders and then those passes will become even better. Right now, teams are looking for him to pass. When he learns to look for his shot more and then pass... oh boy!
2. I'd never thought I'd say this in a million years.... especially with the fact that I'm a huge Melo fan, but Dougie (right now) is a better player than Melo and the fact that I stated we gave Melo away - well, I had it backwards. Dougie is playing solid defense, penetrating when it's there and a team player. And still is only 25!!!
3. Beasley played well for the most part - loved his tip pass to Dougie off of the Frank lead. Dude's a scorer. Too bad he never got his head right! He could've been special. And Ball is a horrible defender... couldn't stop Frank, played soft on Dougie and didn't know how to get around Beasley when Beasley posted. Kid's got a lot to learn imo.
4. Did you see when KP drove (it was in ot) like a fullback and refused to be stopped! THAT is the aggressive play that he started the season with and hope it continues... when he's ATTACKING & NOT SETTLING, he's one of the best! Night & Day KP between this guy and the impersonator that played in Chicago.
