You still could build a really good team around AD though. The couple years him and Jrue were fully healthy and they had a third guy, they did make the playoffs and played well.

That's basically my point.

Jokic can lead a team further as a franchise player because he's an elite playmaker. He's more reliable if you depend on him. Historically, championship teams have been led by elite playmakers or dominant isolation scorers that force traps or consistent double-teams (Hakeem, Magic, Curry, Bron, Kobe, Kawhi...). I just don't think Anthony Davis ticks either box.

As a complement to LeBron James? AD is a better fit than Joker because his strengths are not necessary on-ball offensively so he can allow LBJ to playmake and he's an elite defender.

In all seriousness, it's all about role and roster construction. They're both incredible players, I just think one is better at leading a team, connecting the guys around him and simply being the guy, while the other is better at playing capo and doing all the things to fill the gaps and complement a true playmaker like Bron.

When I say AD could be the best second option of all-time, I don't mean it as a slight. I just think you have to be realistic about which role he's best suited for.

This is what I mean at 6:46

I'd personally move Dame andJ okic up to Tier 2. IMO they are clearly better than the rest of the people on Tier 3

Curry

Leonard

Davis
Doncic
Harden

Giannis

The rest, but move Butler up to level 3 if Miami wins the ECF and level 2 if they 'ship.

[dit] ldo, if the Nuggets win tomorrow and beat the Lakers then Jokic probably goes to level 1.

Did everybody from our current roster come to the first practice? Did we fire anyone yet?
