Is it even a legit rumor? I am all for it, but just doubt it happens. I dont think any top prospect has signed a QO before. They almost always resign and if anything leave in there 2nd contract.

KP was never going to take the QO and would have resigned if push came to shove. He just wanted Pills to feed his ego. That one seemed more like a mutual decision as Pills thought they were signing 2 max cats.

Times have changed. Players want to go where they want now and being locked into a 5 year deal especially with a crappy organization like the Kings is something to really think about.

We don't know if that's what we are or aren't doing but I hope we are. This is the power of CAA and Rose and the UK connects that I am expecting to see out of these guys. If they are really about it then these are the type of moves you do behind the scenes. No you wont get Anthony Davis who is at a point in his career where he just wants a Chip but a younger guy like Fox? Yeah it's possible. They should at the very least be trying

It's all good though. We cleared the roster and collected some 2023 second rounders. We're already champions, don't be greedy and look for players wanting be here.

I think the Knicks don't want to give the media an indication of which direction they want to go in with acquiring players, so they stay quiet to protect themselves if their "goal" fails.

Yes we should focus on getting unwanted contracts from other teams in exchange for draft assets. The Ed Davis trade was a good start.
