Just imagine if we kept Felton/Wilson Chandler and GALLO by simply signing Melo as a Free Agent the following offseason?!? We would've eliminated Indiana and advanced to the E.C.F during 2012-2013!

ummm dude, we are assuming Lillard asks for a trade.


the contract also doesnt mean anything because the precedent is essentially already set. once the player asks for a trade his contract length is meaningless. you either trade the guy or let him become toxic for the team.

Lillard could easily demand a trade from the Knicks after 1 year too... do you think the Knicks would go running around and say "but his contract!!"

Can people please stop with the woe is me, Knicks will suck forever, nobody is coming here agenda. It’s getting old and annoying. This isn’t the same Knicks anymore, start getting that through your head, that’s why becoming relevant this season was so important which they did. Rose and world wide unlike other regimes particularly Steve Mills the worst President in sports history isn’t running the show anymore. The crowd and msg during the playoffs put the league on notice. Now will they be title contenders next year, probably not..but they haven’t been in this position in a really long time and regardless of whom they get, I know for sure expectations for next year after this summer will be sky high

if it doesnt work, you go back to sleep knowing u shot the shot, it was a shot worth taking. Randle is a nice player but hes not a #1. RJ is also a nice player but his ceiling rn looks like Randle-type impact too. So basically we have 2 guys on the team that are #2 or #3s on a championship level team.

If it costs no assets it is better than the guys they had for the respective positions this season...so look on the bright side? Schroder would be the oldest guy in this new "core 5" at 27. Tsunami Papi is only 25, Randle 26, Barrett 20 and Robinson 23. This may not be a championship contender but what it does is it gives them young talented guys that, if maybe they can get "Thibodeau'd" can turn into valuable assets that will allow you to do the next bump up for that superstar. And they would still have all of their draft assets and young guys from the current roster. It's not a bad team and could do some damage if the new additions can buy into Thibs team defense.

Seems like a player we want but won't be able to get.....yet.

Kings need to keeping Kinging and he will ask out soon enough. Bad news is he is signed until 2026 and that keeps significant power with the Kings, i think players move more after that first extension is kicked in for a few years. I.e. 2023-24 and after for Fox
