He's not getting one regardless.

They were already a very good defense, with lots of young, developing players who could get even better than the quality they've shown, but the way McDonald has been flashing... good lord, the ceiling is the roof.

Is Hall fully recovered?

Imagine being an opposing QB being pressured like crazy from our front and your decision boils down to throwing at DJ Reed or Sauce LOL

Cook to the Jets huh? Can't be mad about getting more talent but, why? Slow playing Hall coming back? What about Carter and the Rookie we have? I thought RB was the last position we needed depth at. OL would be my preferred move for sure.

Keep the load light for the first 6-7 games. Work Hall back in slowly.

It's the only thing that makes sense to me. Still, we have other options. This seems a bit pricey for a fill in player.

There are still major question marks at OL and HC for this team. Time will tell.

I read that he is about to be taken off of the PUP list

Rodgers gave the Jets cap space, i wouldn't really worry about paying Cook 8 mil, he's still capable of giving you good production and with the other backs that the Jets have they can keep him fresh all season.

I'm not worried about the money, it's the position we spent it on.

I hear you on that. But I doubt they see any offensive line help out there right now prior to final cuts. Douglas still has money to play with.

Plus, Aaron probably wanted Cook on board.

Which FA OT were you looking at?

Can't really complain about adding a talented RB to help on offense.

I'm excited for this team. I believe we are a playoff team with a possibility of going all the way. I don't recall ever thinking this way about the team. Not on this level. We have a QB that can get the job done. Testaverde in 98 was the last time I remember that being a thing.

I can't wait to see this team play when it counts.

The defense is elite imo. All Rodgers has to do is keep the ship steady and get the ball out quick

You trust that Robert Saleh is the right man for this job? I hope I am wrong but I have my doubts. He could very well be in over his head.

I assume thats why his one year contract was so much

Based on what? He's made no major errors over the last two years and the jets have excelled at defense

I thought he made some major errors last year. I didn't like how he handled the QB situation, he let Zach play too long then allowed the rest of the team to piss on him. And believe me I'm no fan of Zach Wilson. The team had a few must win games last year and came out completely dead in pretty much all of them. That to me is an indictment on the coach. Not to mention his clock management has been pretty poor as well.
