Toppin should have been kept

but if the injury is more serious there are plenty of options in the market

one of Lauri, Mikal or Grant for the starting lineup

plus three of Hayward, McDermott, Gallinari, Brogdon, Gafford, Miles, Lowry or Bojan for the bench

The show must go on...

no, no and no.

Obi is garbage, lauri, mikal and grant too expensive (salary wise) and cant trade with the Jazz. The Jazz are like that guy in your fantasy league you never find a trade with because they are delusional about their asking prices.

and how the fk do you wanna additionaly aquire 3 of those named bench players? what are you smoking?

two 3rd stringers... just one of them with the 2nd unit...

I would also bring out of retirement Melo, at least for a month or two if not for all the rest of the season... he can play 15 mins even in his 50s... that natural scorer he is

The Heat doesn't have anyone to slow Brunson down now that Gabe Vincent left.

I hate that team with extreme prejudice.

Bench was rolling but we knew he wouldn’t end a game with Randle sitting.

I was salty in the moment but up 15 against the heat with 5 min left isn't really a secure lead imo

Not even close and the Heat still had their starters in. This one isn’t on Thibs.

People have used the 'still young can improve' meme for RJ and currently still do...I didn't realize that Precious is less than a year older than RJ and is younger than IQ so can we say the same thing for him, too? Asking for a friend...

I mean it looks like he still hasn’t figured out what he is as an offensive player. He can put the ball on the floor for a couple of dribbles to get to the rim but he’s not that good at it, he’s not afraid to shoot 3s but he’s not that good at it. He’s shown good movement as a roller on the PnR but that’s still inconsistent. There’s a capable NBA big in there offensively somewhere

He’s been good defensively for us tho

It took until 2024 for Grimes to reach 8 FTA's the whole season. He had that much yesterday alone. Let's hope this was a corner he had to turn, because he is obviously more then capable of attacking the rim more.

The Randle injury sucks. It is what it is .The problem: how do you replace 25pts 10 reb 5ast a game from the starting lineup? Randle is a very productive player no matter what you think about him. It's hard to ask more from Brunson. Can OG give me 25. Can Hart or Achiuwa give me 15.Neither are creators off the ball so that's an issue. The offense has to change and adapt. Do we make a move for a Gordan Hayward. It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

They really should, we're so thin at both forward spots. I fully expect Tom to start Sims at PF, even though the most logical thing would be to slide OG to PF and start Hart. But we don't have a backup 3 if Hart is starting

I think his offensive skill set and ball skills are relatively limited but not completely missing or 'raw' so a system for bigs like Thibs one probably can maximize his abilities while hiding his flaws if he can figure out how to let the game come to him and not try to do too much.

Nah, Thibs considers Julius to be tough as nails and he'll let him play through the shoulder pain

There's a backup 3 on the roster, who is currently worth more as an expiring contract.

Doesn't hurt to play him. More offense for the 2nd unit, less defense, which we can live with it.

He just needs to finish better at the rim and not be butterfingers. That's all we could really ask. Just be a finisher, hit the dunks, layups and baby hooks by the rim. Be ready to catch them. Going for the drive on the fastbreak or shooting a 3 with plenty of time on the clock, these are things he shouldn't do unless he's making them regularly in practice.
