Nah, a few of you have agendas that you’d rather be proven right on rather than actually analyzing what happened during this game. Y’all ain’t fooling anyone with your disingenuous takes.

There's a lot of agenda based posting, but no lie, this team is now mediocre.

Leon got cute trying to "take the next step" or sucking off the WWW Kentucky d*ck for Towns, but the team is now poorly constructed.
The Mikal trade was particularly bad.
Glad Randle is gone though.

38 wins.

They can trade away Bridges, OG, KAT, Brunson over time.
Can rebuild in 4 years.

preach. and everybody knows who you talk about. I was already waiting for the "see... towns" posts after Tatum hit 10 threes in OGs/Mikals face. just bs posting.

the knicks will probably be around the same as last year when it's all said and done. but when you give up all your assets and flexibility you're supposed to get better.

We're rebuilding before even giving the new team a full season together? :o

How's punk-a$$ Reggie Miller even more patient with the Knicks than folks here?

Towns was fine.

Mikal is pure ass.
He's a bad fit with OG

Team should have gotten one, but not the other. And playing Hart with either one of them, no less two of them, is pure madness, but that's because Thibs is an idiotic hidebound coach.

At least Brunson can be the 2nd greatest Knick to never win a championship. That's something.

Because Reggie knows that would be the most harmful thing, to keep the team together, that's how evil he is

They are absolutely worse.

You can just see it.

There's not enough shot creation in the starting lineup. It was an issue last year too.
It's just that OG and Bridges aren't talented enough offensively
At least Donte was a weapon from 3; ultimately that team wasn't going anywhere but the 2nd round, so I get trying to upgrade but Mikal was a bad solution.

Randle for KAT is "whatever". Probably a good idea for spacing, but spacing for who?
Brunson and 3 subpar offensive players?
Good plan!

Talking about Randle is nasty work. He not here. Him sucking has no bearing on the team anymore. KAT being Basura does.

Homie got to get it together cause he is being paid as an elite player. He needs to have elite impact.

We did not trade to move laterally. We traded to be better than what we had in Randle.

Usually when you have a 200 million + player you should not have to question that, but with Kat we do have to question that.

Imagine trading for a 200 million player and you not even sure he takes you to the next level. Nasty Work

Knicks fans was gangster in the offseason saying bring on the Celtics, now it’s they need time to Gel. keep that same energy is what I say.

Yall better Hope Wing Stop is not really Wing Flop.

Knicks are in “ on paper” mode right now.

Homers will home tho….

It’s just the resident knuckleheads regurgitating negative talking points. Don’t respond to every barking dog.

Having said that, this loss should give Thibs plenty of film to highlight our weaknesses. Intensity and execution should ramp up after an azz kicking. It’ll take about 20 games to fully jell, but we have enough talent to win despite that.

i actually agree with everything you said and you didn't even mention defense or rebounding which certainly won't be the same. so they could be worse. ultimately they'll probably still end up in the top 4 and lose in the 2nd round again. but now you don't really have a way to get better.

We need to trade Mitch and Hart for another good player. What player making 34 million team looking to dump can we acquire for these 2 lol

this team under thibs/rose historically tends to play annoying .500 ball til the winter, makes a midseason trade, and then becomes a lovable powerhouse through the postseason

I was calling it in preseason: Deuce for Hart in the SL

Deuce can knock down shots when the ball gets kicked out to him, he can also create shots and others, and though small he's good enough of a defender to hold his own against bigger guards.

Hart, OG, Mikal sort of stunt ball and player movement, esp for Hart and OG, they're not really offense creator on or off the ball type of guys. We need ball fluidity, and quick quick decisions: shoot, drive, or pass when a player receives the ball.

Hart is gonna play lots of mins anyway, so he will still play with the starters, but I think he will play well along the 2nd units like Cam, Pac, Kolek, and Sims.

I think Mikal was a little lost and unsure when he's supposed to go score or when to swing it, but I think he quickly learned the team is better off when he's aggressive cutting to the rim, or make a quick decision either shoot or drive as soon as he gets the ball, as opposed to holding the ball for 2-3 secs looking for someone open to pass to, which helped the defense.

Pac and Kolek are fearless in taking shots considering they're rooks and playing for Thibs... both are smart offensive players. They definitely fill the "we have no depth" void.

Sims tried something new, which is drive to the rim, I think he's trying, but I think Huk can easily overtake him soon.

Damn since preseason we kept getting 2 days, 3 days rest in between games, I wish this was our schedule in April so our players can get rest for playoffs.

Our goal was to play like a team tonight. The Celtics' goal was to pick us apart. We're at different stages of development.

Overall I think it went well. Probably would have beat most teams tonight. Difficult to over come record breaking shooting. Boston did a good job avoiding our wings and just shooting over them.

BTW, Boston is boring AF to watch. Going minutes between paint touches and jacking up 3s is a snooze fest. The league is doomed. Yes... our style will be similar, but our stars thrive in the paint and I think we'll see a better blend of styles rather than 100% 5 out.
