The team finally looked like they understood the assignment.

They finally realized oh we traded for one of the best offensive centers of all time, maybe we should give him the ball. Yeah that foul was beyond dim.

Brunson looked good though some terrible shot selection late. Either way, our studs came to play.

Benches were even - can’t bank on that happening in the playoffs. It’s clear Prichard is far & away better than anyone off our bench in what was a bad game for him.

Our 3 wings struggle to be effective game in game out when we’re at full strength. Their one wing Tatum almost as much as those 3. How can you leave Hart in on the last play when you know they want to funnel the ball to him.

Thibs continues to make dumb decisions in critical moments. He continues to run ISO crap from 25 feet out in crunch time. Unless the players bail him out with incredible shot making, we are going to lose these close games.

The good news is there are very easy fixes here on the margins that will lead to Ws. Will Thibs make them?

It was a game we really should have won. We didn’t play that bad, just not good enough and too many mistakes. Mikal, OG, and Hart are all going to need to play better, especially Mikal.

Thibs is Thibs. Should have fouled rather than let Tatum take a 3. We all knew what was gonna happen.

At least we were close, but no moral victories. We are gonna need to finish these types of games

Both teams came out with playoff intensity but you can tell one team always had the edge from a talent standpoint and especially from a coaching standpoint. Standing on the sidelines with your arms folded and yelling out plays and defensive reminders is coaching for sure but not NBA level and definitely not playoff level coaching. If it was then my grade school kids basketball coach could be coaching the Knicks as well.

No Mitch in the 4th and OT? No McBride? Hell no substitutions at all!?? Did we even post up KAT at all like we did in the first half? How many pick and rolls did we see in OT? Why did Mikal constantly end up on Tatum when OG was the only one able to guard him? Player mistakes? Coaching mistakes? Guess it's all up to interpretation but mistakes none the less that will continue to cost us and prevent this team from ever progressing past the 2nd round.

It took two games and the team reverted back to exactly what it was before Brunson got injured. He’s not running the team effectively at all and I 100% believe he got outcoached.

he is playing 40 games a year, what are you talking about. there is basically no pressure for him in Boston because he can be the 4th-5th option on some nights. that wouldn't happen here and you guys would drive him to the airport.

He played 41 games this year, not per year… what are you talking about? A lot better than Mitch’s 31 games last year and 15 this year. He’d have been 4th-5th option here too behind Jalen, Julius, and OG…. same as Donte.

He had a great game and he busted @ss out there. But that foul was foolish, so was his fade in the beginning of OT with jrue on him. He is insanely talented and had a great game. Carried us. But it's fair to say he isn't the most cerebral player.

I'm also mad we lost and not handling it well. negative as hell right now. I wanted to go full homer and that win would have hit like crack.

You keep belaboring this point in every post game thread the Knicks lose a close game but exactly what exotic sets did Mazzulla run at the end of the game that Thibs didn't run?

Was it the falling out of bounds 3 that Tatum took in an iso against KAT that he got bailed out on?

Or was it the last second ridiculous step back over the Knicks best defender by Tatum?
