Mitch so good at defense he even plays defense on offense.

that’s why mazzulla had to try to get him up outta there

That early hack-a strategy struck me as a big mistake on his part. It showed he was scared of our guy. An admission of weakness.

It's amazing that Mitch - a random second-round pick - has not only outlasted all these lottery picks that Knicks fans were crazily invested in, but also become a much more impactful basketball player than any of them.

Switch and stay at home...iso ball 2s won't be able to get the Celtics a win but helping off and letting the secondary players get hot from 3 draining them all over the place will.

Our longest tenured Knick. Who arguably also reversed the Charlie Ward Curse.

It's weird. The Boston area has some of the country's smartest people and some of its stoopidest.

And the two spheres never meet.

I wanted the Knicks to select Brunson or Mitch with the 2nd round pick they had in that draft...Brunson was gone by the time the pick came around but Mitch was there and I was so surprised they actually took him I pumped my fist when I heard it.

Check the draft threads from that summer, I wanted them, they were in the same draft year.

Same. I was stunned Mitch fell.

Never in my wildest, wildest dreams did I see this for JB though.

That's nice and all but buzz manifested it

 Well, he's been working so much harder at it than me. But I did home in on Houser. C'mon man. Not even a little credit?

That's for buzz to decide.

Observe how Boston had utilized penetrations by Brown and Tatum to smoke us during the season. Same with the Cavs. All without Mitch.

Now teams have to shoot 3s even if hurried. Mitch was that mid-season acquisition that turned this defense elite. Before that it was a joke.
