We need this pick more than any team. If the lottery is indeed rigged Stern needs to hook us up. Wizards have like 3 all-stars on their squad. Every team has a certified star in this lottery except us.

Dear God,

I know I probably haven't been always the best of your "children." I've certainly made my share of mistakes along the way. Yes, I know I have sinned many times. Yes, I have probably done too many psycho-tropic drugs during my life. Yes, I know have had gratuitous sex with many anonymous female partners and that they enjoyed it very much. And, yes, there are probably too many other sinful acts that you don't have time to go into right now. But, God, I try not to bother you too often, if al all. So, if you don't want to do this for me, then do it for the Little Johnny, a 12 year old hospitalized with cancer who the doctors say will only last another 14 months (until the end of next year's NBA Finals). LIttle Johnny's dying wish is to see the Knicks get THE NUMBER ONE PICK IN THIS YEAR'S NBA DRAFT. That's all, God. And it's not like this year's draft is that special. But, to Little Johnny, it would make his life seem all that more worth living if he could see the Knicks play next year with this year's No. 1 pick.

THE NUMBER ONE PICK GOD! THAT'S IT! AND I PROMISE TO NEVER BOTHER YOU AGAIN.
