Melo

Perkins (expires in 2 years)

is this a fair trade?

I think OKC would need a PG back to at least try to replace Jackson and I don't think the Knicks get enough young pieces for giving up Chandler / Shumpert.

This trade works.....

Tyson/Shump/Felton for Perkins/Collison/Jackson/Lamb/P Jones

At least in this trade we get rid of Felton and elimate us having 4 PGs.

Trade is basically Shump for R-Jackson and then Tyson/Felton for Perkins/Collison/Lamb/Jones -- we get 2 solid pro's and 2 young pieces in Lamb/Jones

Thunder

Chandler/Thabeet/Adams
Ibaka/
Durant/Gomes
Thabo/Shump
Westbrook/Felton/Fisher

Knicks

Bargs/Perkins/Collison
Melo/KMART/Stat
JR/Metta/P Jones
Lamb/THjr
Jackson/Prigs/Beno

We at least get younger wand take -$2.5M off 2015 cap.

Yeah that seems better, probably one of the more realistic trades.

I was trying to find a trade that would give us some decent young pieces back + Keep us competitive + not interfere with the 2015 plan.

Much more reasonable, we could get to the playoffs with Tyreke Evans and Tyson Chandler back.

whatever the plan is, it needs to get scrapped. i can already imagine what's gonna happen. we've been through this before. we're going through it now. we're going to waste our time and melo's prime on a prayer for 2015, only to be back at square one, unless we realize then what we can see now. if he is our batman, get him someone good enough to be his robin without mortgaging the future. if there is no possible way to do that, take the L now before they start piling up again.

Rudy is worse then Melo,

And we don't get 2 first rounds picks?

Plus melo would opt out and leave at the end of the season.

It's la, NYC, houston, Dallas, Chicago and possibly Houston as the trade point partners we have.

How about Melo & Martin to the Rockets for Asik & picks/prospects. Rockets get their piece that puts them over the edge as legit contenders plus a great cover to Dwight to make up for Asik. Knicks get a young defensive stud to build with and prospects.

Chandler to the Mavs for prospects/picks. Mavs look like they are gonna make a run this year but need a defensive force like Chandler to really have enough fire power to make that push. I really am not sure what they have of value but some team out there has something to offer us of good value for Chandler. His time while injured is showing how valuable he is as a defensive leader.

This would leave us with a great deal of picks and assets. More than enough to trade for Rondo. Keep Schumpert as I think he will build into a great 2 way player which is valuable.

Rondo/Schumpert/MWP/Prigioni/Asik main pieces + a ton of assets to upgrade somewhere. Money coming off the books with Stat eventually putting us in place to make a better fitted super team.

Sorry for the incoherent ramblings but I just wanted to put this out there.

Knicks Trade:
Carmelo Anthony
Iman Shumpert

Cavaliers Trade:
Tristan Thompson
Dion Waiters
Anthony Bennett
Anderson Varejao
Cavs' 2014 1st Round Pick

Knicks then waive Aldrich & Chris Smith to make room for everyone.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.
