no he's refuting the claim that pop said they didn't have the $$$ to sign him. That could just mean the conversation never took place. And even if it was true the coach may want him back but when Leonard and possible one of the bigs are paid they wont have the $$$ to sign Green.

All just speculation right now, but to right him off because he tweeted "false" is ludicrous

I'll start:

Calderon for JJ Reddick
(contracts are same lengths and only 500k difference. Clippers need a legit PG backup, we need a sniper SG if we draft Mudiay.)

Calderon + Tim Hardaway Jr. for Lance Stephenson
(yet again, only about 650k difference in salary swap. Lance is brute defensive SG and is expiring. Hornets seem to hate the guy)

In both scenarios, we maintain our cap space.

Very messed up. He meant guard or wing. Gasol can shift this franchise even though he is 30. He fills two voids for us.

1. interior scoring/ passing
2. consistent shooting from the 3
3. interior defense
4. playmaking/ penetrating guard

Well, he's the closest thing we can get to what we were hoping for from Okafor, both offensively and defensively. If we get a top guard in the draft, we would have upgraded major sections of our SL. Not championship worthy, but maybe playoff worthy. We could be better set up for future improvements.

Pau Gasol is going to be recruited with everything we have. He will be the best Center in the east easily. We will get playmaking/ defense/ scoring from him. The draft and the start of Free agency is hugeee. I like Monroe's age and potential to get better, but I rather the sure thing in Gasol. Getting Monroe will feel like a panic move. Not saying he's a bad player but the knicks cannot settle for second tier right now. No more Amare type signings.

I assume you mean Marc, and yes he will. But I think the chances are slim on that front.

Phil says we aren't going to drag things out with FA's. People either want to come or they don't. I think we get a quick no from Gasol and LMA and pounce on Monroe. It's not ideal, but I think it may be how the summer plays out.

I wouldn't mind Greg Monroe coming to the Knicks but he's expensive. A 4th pick and Monroe would leave the Knicks about 11-12mil to build.

on second thought that might not be a bad idea. Koufos & Ajinca are worth about 5mil a piece. Get Danny Green for about 6-7mil
