If the Nuggets were smart, they might try to deal Melo to another team before December 12. Once he steps in the Garden, it could be all over but the shouting. He'll want to come back as a Knick.

How could they possibly do that if he won't agree to an extension?

No, you're right. I'm saying try to get him to go elsewhere -- and agree to the extension -- before that game. Unlikely but strategically, given that he may have stars in his eyes about MSG, they should look at that game as a kind of deadline. Won't happen I'm sure.

Funny how it was all about "Give up Randolph or Gallo but not both" but now it's clearly "Give up both" and I think it would be "Don't give up Fields" too.

Nuggets will probably refuse to deal with Knicks without Fields now. They have to have liked what they saw last night. I mean he's playing like a lottery pick.

I don't think teams think like that. And if they do they are as immature as half the people on this board. They know what type of player they want. They don't need players to perform in front of them to seal the deal.

Tell that to Dave Checketts who acquired Charles Smith after Smith (as a Clipper) scored 50 points against the Jazz when DC was president in Utah.

Stop. Houston is in no way, shape, or form even remotely in this at all. Not even sniffing around the perimeter.

KG...you are better than this.

i remember hearing this kind of reasoning with lebron to MIA too, that hed never go there to play 2nd fidde

bottom line, we dont know whats going on

I hate to say this but you are 1000% right.

Yet you make statements all the time like you know for a fact Carmelo won't come  . Don't be a hypocrite.

You people really need to start engaging in critical thinking.

Here is a hint: If you think Carmelo is going to Houston, you are doing it wrong.

Refuse to deal? Translation, refuse the chance not to lose Carmelo for nothing. This is my best offer, AR CHAndler and Curry, and Walker as a throw in. No to Gallo, NO to Fields. If they turn that down it's their loss. I'm hoping they do , we could use the depth. I would absolutely lowball them bigtime.

Yea, if this is a deal that comes down to the deadline, Denver is going to get royally raped.

I don't know, I think we should bring back the 'Camel Toe' thread title.

Same here. I doubt he ends up in Chicago, but NJ really worries me at times.

And I can't help but worry if Denver deals him to a darkhorse we don't expect and he likes it there.

If he's true to his word (or what we understand his word to be), then he won't settle for anything less than NY.
