I suspect the Lakers will take their strategy for guarding Rondo into our game tonight and use that on Lin.

That said - I'm going to predict that Lyn hits at least 5 jump shots tonight. Book it.

My strategy against the Lakers...

- let Kobe go one-one (shoot 40%) and get his 50
- limit touches for Bynum/Gasol (only double off Artest - don't leave Fisher/Blake)
- watch out for Andrew Goudelock (spelling?)
- get Bynum in foul trouble with Tyson pick and roll dumps to basket
- if Bynum out of game --- attack Pau at the rim at every opportunity

Lakers PnR defense has been awful so far

Bynum is slow

Gasol is slow

Vast majority of their team is slow

I think if we can bust up their clogging in the lane with some jumpers we got a puncher's chance

I just think it's going to come down to Tyson and JJ vs Bynum and Gasol. Favor Lakes.

Lakers played an OT game last night and their starters played around 40 minutes. They may be tired.

Even Howard is not good enough to rape Chandler. Not worried about Bynum. Jeffries on Gasol is bad. Let's hope he shows up flat tomorrow, but it starts and ends with Kobe. If Kobe has an off-game, the Knicks win. I doubt if he'll be able to play another 40 minutes tomorrow.

Bynum's a much better offensive player than Howard. And even that Magic game we lost cause we doubled off of shooters to help on Dwight. That's why he didn't go off. Kobe's had plenty of off-games that they've won. I say just let Kobe shoot contested jumpers and kill his own team. If Kobe loves to do one thing, it's chuck his team out of games. Just let him do it and control the bigs.

+1 I don't care if Kobe hits 5 beautiful shots, better than 5 layups and dunks for Bynum and Gasol

Kobe going 61 in Madison square or 40 in a blowout win without Bynum is the least of your concerns? Kobe has shot poorly the last couple of games, but be careful what you wish for because Kobe always shoots well in the Garden.

Unless a miracle, i don't think can win :-?

One thing for sure, it seems like Lin is always fearless thus far, because he has always been saying, he's playing basketball for GOD. Yes, if u dig up earlier interview. He always said he play basketball for no one but for the LORD *Jesus Christ. Thus he not afraid of no one, including Kobe. His faith in god is giving him the confidence and competitiveness he shown on the court.

I hope he wins, but i really doubt. Kobe seems to be hating on this kid already and will shut him down if he wants to. *and they have 2 of the best front man in the league.

I must admit that I have not seen all the quotes, but I wonder if Smith, Jet, and these guys are jealous of Lin because they had decent careers for mostly small market teams (well Houston's not tiny, but they don't get press like NY), and didn't get much attention. Or maybe they really think he can't play, which would be conscious or subconscious you know what, but anyway, on to this game, I don't think Kobe shuts down Lin, only if he is allowed to hold and foul, but even then, it won't be a shutdown.

It would be great if we could keep it close, since LA is coming off a overtime games yesterday, they might be a little more tired down the stretch.

Need Novak or Walker to be hot from beyond the ark, Chandler needs to stay out of foul trouble, and Lin to play well for us to win.

Jefferies needs to draw 5 charges tonight. Novak needs to be unconscious from 3 to tonight.

And if Lin has a bad game, or even just a decent game but the Knicks lose, the hate and idiocy on this board will be out of control

Skip bayless has Lin scoring more than Kobe tonight, Knicks winning by 2, and also he's sticking with his prediction that the Knicks are going to the eastern conference finals. Crazy  ...........or is it :o

Come back soon, Jorts. We need you.

Lakers shoud be very tired tonight... which is a great sign for us. Also I predict D'antoni will go small the entire game. I expect Chandler to get into early foul trouble and then Mike will go Novak/Walker at the 4 spot. We're going to get KILLED on the boards tonight but if we make our open 3's, we have a good shot of winning.

Are you suggesting "Country Boy Jorts" is NOT the one guy on our roster who could punish Bynum? If so, you don't know this kid at all.
