Seriously. What's your interest in seeing Stat fail? You're almost salivating every time you discuss the possibility of it happening (except for when you back away from your own words).

Just curious. Be honest if you're capable of it.

"Honest?" Who me? :o

Excuse me sir, but is this your "first day on the job?" OF COURSE, above all else I am a Knicks fan! I've been a Knicks fan probably before you were even born. I want the Knicks to win, period. It doesn't matter to me if Stat scores 4 points or 40 points as long as the Knicks win.

What DOES amaze me though is that a few posters seem to cling to the tired mantra that "Stat will return from the dead." Well I suuuuure hope you dreamers are right. Because I sure can't imagine us winning it all with this year's version of Stat. Can you?
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?

The guy posts the same nonsense ad-nauseum. We need more people that are fans of the team instead of haters on our players. Its ok to dislike a player or two, but its sad when that hate encompasses more of you then being a fan of the team.

I AM a fan of the team. But that hardly means I have to swallow the garbage the Stat apologists continue to stream.

Apparently it does, since he hasn't prevented us from winning since Lin got here, but you keep harping on him

Why can't you concede that because of last year's very serious back injury, and rehab therefrom, that without a training camp and time to get into shape that Amare is simply behind the curve in getting back into shape. He didn't have that luxury during the off season like the other players because he was still recuperating.

Aren't' you supposed to be a freaking doctor? Or is that handle BS?

See ne after the playoffs and we'll see if you are correct.

What injury?

Did he undergo surgery?

Did gaining weight help or hurt said injury?

Does a max cat deserve sympathy considering his glaring defensive deficiencies that continue and his sudden offensive fall off considering his offensive game was THE REASON HE WAS SIGNED IN THE FIRST PLACE? And dont say its because he hasnt had a pg because his jumper is horrible and he looks mad timid around the rim unless no ones around him.

Or are you going to continue to be the lawyer even on a bball topic on the message board?

No apologies, he needs to shape up or GTFO.

The goal is a title not a 1st or 2nd round playoff exit, with the talent on this team anything short of the ECF or a finals appearance/win is unacceptable. Id rather have Oakley in his prime at the 4 right now then this version of STAT, at least then wed have a real shot at getting out of the east or winning it all. STAT plays with no heart.

Mugz out
Trust but verify.

If Stat regains his form from last year, Knicks would be legit title contenders.

He should - that would be prepare him for any continuing loss of athleticism. That and his mid-range game should keep him a strong offensive player.

He did show us some moves in the paint, that we haven't seen before. But, it didn't continue in the second half. I think he's aware he cant beast, at least for now; and is trying to make adjustments.

Question: would you trade Amare for David Lee?

Why would we want to trade terrible defense for terrible defense?

I guess terrible defense/effort-on-the-boards is better than terrible defense/no-effort-on-the-boards.

Absolutely. Even if Stat can turn it around this season he's facing an even sharper decline in 3-4 years. Really doubt the Warriors would do this though so people should stop suggesting it in every thread.

the real problem is this idiot spends more time posing for GQ and getting stupid tattoos and not enough time realizing that maybe I need to broaden my offensive game a little bit. How about a simple post-up game Stat? With your jumpshot, a post-up game would help out a ton with this team. It also reduces the amount of times we have to see him barrel into opponents and lose the ball. But I don't know if he has the brains to realize that
