perhaps he can be slightly more useful to us than Camby on the bench and Novak nowhere to be found

hell, his D and rebounding arent as bad as novak. thats something

Honestly, his man to man defense is very good. His help defense on the other hand... forget about it.

well thats something

Honestly our man to man D was pretty bad and our help D was ok

Especially with Melo being 1st option and Shumpert and Chandler on the team

So the biggest bright spot is we no longer have deals running past 2015?

Can they like at least include Quincy Acy or something like that? It would make me feel a little better.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Bargnani will definitely be better in NY than he was in Toronto the last couple of years (barring injury, of course). If he's healthy, I think he'll be a great option for the Knicks on the offence. If this deal goes down, hopefully someone in the coaching staff can motivate him.

I think it's a win-win deal for both teams.
lets hope so!

Brett Poirier NBA ‏@BrettNBA 7m
I've learned the Raptors maneuvered their way into a third draft pick from NY. In total; Novak, Camby and one 1st-round plus two 2nd-round.

jstarks10 wrote:LOL ur a mod? how would barf be better in NY than TOR?
Barf was the first or second option in the first unit last couple of seasons. He was the 'go-to' guy in offense. He was allowed to take as many freakin 3's as he wanted in TOR. After his injury, he was changed to a role player who came off the bench and guess what...he still SUCKED.
How the hell would he be better in the knicks if hes playing with melo, chandler, felton, amare?

As you have alluded to, Bargs has been injury-riddled the last couple of seasons. Hopefully he is healthy and motivated, because if he is, I think he'll do much better in NY than in Toronto.

Also, just because a player has been not-so-good in one place, doesn't mean he'll always be that way. Chauncey Billups wasn't great before he arrived on the Pistons. Neither was Lin before he arrived on the Knicks. Not saying it will happen that way for Bargnani, but with health and motivation, he does have the potential to be better than he is.

Silly to put them in the same boat. Nobody's in the same situation as Amare.

What's silly is the fact that Andrea has played less games the passed 2 seasons then Amare has.

On a team that's tanking. Bargnani has no known physical defects. It's a hell of a lot more believable that health-wise, these last few years have been aberrations for him than it is for Amare. Everybody knows Amare's knees are done. He should really just retire before he can't walk anymore.

Just saying.

i have no issue taking on bargs

I HAVE A HUGE ISSUE GIVING THEM CAP RELIEF AND PICKS

WE'RE THE ONE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO GET PICKS IN RETURN FOR TAKING ON GARBAGE CONTRACTS

you didnt give up cap relief. if anything you saved 5 mil in 2015
the 2016 pick is the pick as a result of the knicks and nuggets swap.
if the pick was decent and had value itd belong to denver

everyone needs to get their heads out of their asses and see the trade for what it is.

Total Isaiah move. Just unbelievably awful if we give up a first rounder for this bum.

Well, it's the pick that's the issue. But yeah, hopefully Bargnani and saving several million dollars in 2015 will be worth the first-rounder.

Camby's last year of his contract was non-guaranteed, so it's not as bad of a contract as a lot of us thought. Still, though, he did not play, and the Knicks need to upgrade their personnel surrounding Melo.

he hasn't shot well the last 2 seasons

he has been on awful raptors teams....a move to NY could do him justice... the guy could always shoot he needs to get healthy i just well see whats going on the with the picks being dealt im just not to concerned cause people see 1st and freak out but we will be late 1st for a while so im hoping its 2 future 2nds... but well see.

If Bargnani had the exact same stats, but was a 2nd round pick in '06, I would bet anything that the reaction wouldn't be this negative. He gets a ridiculously bad rap because he never lived up to being the overall 1st pick.

well if he was a 2nd round pick in 06 he wouldnt be making 8 mil a year or whatever he does make
