Does anyone remember how much LeBron, Wade and Bosh turned down to play together? I do remember they signed for like $14.5M each to start but what was the max they could have signed for? How much did they leave on the table?

Have the videos been posted? I don't know how to post video but I think seeing him talk rather than getting parsed tweets puts a lot of his commentary in better context and perspective.

I love this one cause I am in agreement with him about the talent level of this team.

Michael Kay is a douche. I strongly dislike him and LaGreca. Their show sucks.

Kay is a baseball guy and it's painful trying to listen to him ramble on about basketball, you're better off finding a random homeless guy off the street ... I actually feel dumber after hearing him speak

wait guys. is the max melo can get if he walks and signs with another team 4yr/80 million? knicks offer of 5yr 100 mill with a starting salary at 18 mill sounds better in that respect.

kay talking like they gotta give melo the max 5 yr 129 mill. but there is a huge difference in him leaving the knicks and signing a 4 yr 80 mill deal

If Melo left he could get slightly more than Dwight, whether via trade or not,

Yeah, with a grain of salt. Everyone wants him at a discount. It's clear the three teams that are purportedly in play for him at the point want him for less than the max. Strong move by Phil today, and I think it is the right one. New York already did a great favor for Carmelo gutting the roster and paying him the max. It's about time he returned that favor by resigning with the Knicks for a discount.

That being said, I wouldn't mind if he signed with the Bulls for a discount.

He says verbatim that the players told him that they had the talent. Then he goes on to make a general statement that the talent is here.

He in no way is saying what NyKat said from before the season started, during the season and after the season.

NyKat will be trying to validate his opinion that the 2013-14 Knicks were a championship contending team which was obviously wrong. Now unless all 15 of the players of the 2013-14 Knicks come back next year and go on to contend which we know isn't going to happen NyKat is never going to be right.

This guy NyKat refused to believe the roster sucked even when the roster was flat out sucking because he couldn't admit to himself or to anyone else that he was wrong.

If someone can't tell that Phil is itching to get at this roster to make changes they're just not paying attention.

The 2013-14 Knicks weren't a good basketball team.. and Phil making excuses for them so he doesn't come off sounding as a jerk isn't going to change anybody's mind.

Otherwise thanks for posting the video.

So he isn't on record saying Melo told him in the exit interviews that he would take less right? He's basing it on Melo's comments during the season.

So what is less? What's your number?

Here is Phil talking about adding players from other teams benches.. from teams that are playing deep in the playoffs and not playing in the playoffs. He mentions Vet min. players and free agents who haven't quite had the chance to play. I.E. he's replacing players that were on this years team.

Yeah, all Phil Jackson talks about is making changes. By the start of the '15 season we should have a completly new team.
Mavs
C: Horford | Goga | Paul Reed |
PF: Lauri Markkanen | Randle | Tucker
SF: Trey Murphy | Trent | Anderson | Simone
SG: Vassell | Trent | Livingston
PG: Spida | Mann | Deuce

Yeah by the 15-16 season the roster should look exactly like what his vision of a championship team looks like and I seriously doubt that more than 2 or 3 players from this years team will be on it.

If I had too choose the 3 players they would be

Melo
Shump
Cole

I would look to trade everyone else that I could for picks/expirings
4-Peat! 22-25 BAF Champion Spurs:

ROSTER

Walker Kessler/Daniel Gafford/Adem Bona
Nikola Jokic/Santi Aldama/Isaiah Stewart
Aaron Nesmith/Josh Hart/Jaime Jaquez
Alex Caruso/Keon Ellis/Justin Champagnie
Steph Curry/Chris Paul/Ryan Rollins

See me and you do agree every now and again. JK.

Those are the exact 3 I can see staying on the team.
