Wow

I assumed it was the achilles based on the way he looked back despite there not looking like he twisted or turned his foot. Is this worse than that? I dont know if I ever heard of that injury but it's probably not good at all. You can tell by his reaction that it wasn't good

anything with the feet is a major concern.

I don't think anything is as debilitating as an achilles though. That is almost a death sentence to basketball players.

Doesn’t sound like it’s that serious of an injury if ISO Joe played the next game. Probably won’t help this series either way but glad it’s not career threatening like the Achilles.

I don't know because tearing the ligaments at the bottom of your foot sounds just as bad. I'm going to assume that that's what it is if it's a plantar tear. Hopefully his career isn't over and he can recover because he was having a remarkable year but he's also up there in age so idk how this impacts his career

I guess some people are saying even Joe Johnson had a similar injury and got injections to fight through (he was pretty much useless though). They aren't ruling Dragic out but dude is a FA..I wonder if there are any long term effects here if he tries to play through.

foot injuries are still pretty serious and could potentially lead to other things but yeah its not like a achilles or acl where you can't play through it. It just depends on pain tolerance, how effective you can be, and potentially risking further injury. It is the finals...so who knows?

Won’t waste my time watching a series in which we all know the outcome to.

same logic that sent durant to a career altering injury, I think they will keep that in the back of their head

This bubble has been a lesson in not calling the series after one game but sheesh I have a hard time seeing the path to victory in a 7 game series for the Heat unless they pull the ultimate gut check of all time.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I saw enough of "plantar fasciitis" from Glen Rice's tenure with the Knicks to know that I don't want to see another older player on our team with that condition again.
