The only real problem I see, personally, is that once Elvrid-19 starts, it's hard to get him out. Now he has to demote him. So it makes that next step harder, and we could see the team down early constantly. It's risky. But so is starting a rookie IMO. I'd rather Quick be able to have some cover.

yeah it's great that mitch and RJ are starting but it's under such poor conditions... no spacing and a PG who forgets there are 3 other guys on the court when randle is in the game

It is always about connections

It is always about reputation

But let's call it what it really is

It's all about spiting the fans who continue to follow them year after year despite obvious attempts of the franchise to screw them over.

I'd rather Elf-19 doesn't get that taste in the first place.

Start Rivers or Frank. Sub-optimal, but at least we're not playing 4 on 5 on offense with a "PG" (really just a dribbler) who only passes to his buddy Randle.

While I agree with you, I think this is just Thibs wanting to bring IQ along at a pace where Thibs feels like he's not throwing the kid to the wolves. If Quickley continues to play like he has (and Payton like he has), I would hope that it wouldn't be long before IQ was starting.
