Randle being an all-star is nightmare fuel, cause we gonna throw the bag at him if he is. I can't have that.

I can’t wait till we extend him to see your reaction

Only time that Thibs and coach of the year should be in the same sentence is if those two things are connected with should never win win

Rose is here because Thibs loves Rose and Thibs loves vets. Thibs believes Rose will get him a few more wins, which will allow the Knicks to possibly make the playoffs. Those are the only reasons.

Some of you rather be the Washington Wizards where they play a bunch of young guys and continue losing lol.

don't quote me, you've already jumped the shark.

I think Quickley will play more off the ball too tbh. Much rather have Quickley taking the shots as opposed to Bullock. And much rather have Rose play the Point as opposed to Rivers. Don't know if it will work out but if this means less Payton, less Bullock and less Rivers... mission accomplished

Young players should not just be handed minutes just because they’re young players. If they make mistakes they should be benched and learn. Tom Thibs has been a godsend so far for this team. The Knicks literally have only one player that can score consistently. But fans for some odd reason think RJ and IQ are some all stars Lmfaoo!

not gonna get it but playing like one.

Sabonis is gonna get in over him which imo isn’t deserving. But oh well

There are about 3 spots up for grabs. Randle can grab one if we stay in the playoff picture. But if we let Miami leapfrog us it it will be dificult

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Payton gets 30min a night even though statistically he’s one of the Top 3 worst starting PG in the NBA.

Bullock gets 29min a night even though he can’t hit water falling out of a boat 8/10 games.

Rivers now TWICE in the last week has stolen 17min from RJ even though Austin is a disaster.

Obi makes mistakes yes. But he’s a rookie. Let him learn. Taj getting those 15min is a disgrace.

IQ puts up 18-4-4 on 42% from 3PT over 6 games but we gotta bench him because “he’s still a rookie” and Thibs has got to “rook him.” I bet if you were to ask Thibs - he would look you in the face and tell you it’s all apart of the plan and his development. Just shameful.

Now we are getting Rose. A non shooting guard with the worst Net rating in the NBA on the worst team. Just embarrassing.

I really hope we lose every single game the rest of the season. Not because we could make the playoffs and lower our pick chances. I wanna lose every game because I hate what we are doing.

Is it to late to change the team name to The New York Mercenaries?

who said we should? trade or cut them today. I don't care since they won't play anyway.

They already have: Trier, Dotson and now DSJ are gone. Frank is next and maybe Knox. Every draft pick is not going to be a future of the team, thats part of rebuilding... finding out who to get rid of

And for the Knicks, that means getting rid of every 1st round draft pick for the last 7 years. Good stuff.

I truly believe the worst part this is that Thibs would have the FULL support of almost every fan trying to make the 7-8 seed if we had done it the right way.

Start IQ. Play him 33min a night. Payton would be a respectable backup with the vets playing 15min. Play Elf next to Rivers and let Austin top out at 14min. Keep playing RJ, Julius and Mitch big minutes. Leave Bullock at 18min and ensure that Knox gets around 17min as well (he was shooting 44% from 3PT at one point). Give Obi 16min and let him fight through his mistakes. The minutes of his being given to Taj are not good for his development. In fact, I would let Taj be a leader on the bench who doesn’t play. But a guy who gives direction to younger players who need it when they go to the bench and in-between timeouts. Last but not least. Don’t trade for Derrick Rose. There is no point getting a non shooting, non defending, non finishing, non playmaking, past his prime SCRUB.

Even though I have always preferred tanking that is a 7-8 fight for the playoffs group/minute pattern that I would be down with.

again thibs does something to contradict what he does.

He is extra hard on young players for defense...but doesn't play our best perimeter defender?

He talk about players earning there minutes and if they play well they will get minutes...um Obi was actually part of the croup that brought us from a 6 point deficit to a tie game and was still taken out.

He has a cliche or line for everything. There is no doubt he is a coaching improvement here..he absolutely is. However my concerns whether he was the right coach for this team right now...is still up in the air. Especially with Rose coming in...do you not think he is going to favor Rose over young players. I even think that will have a bad effect on the young guys playing like RJ and IQ.'

I want IQ and RJ taking and making shots and plays down the stretch...I don't want Rose and Payton...why is that so much to ask for? Competing for a play in game means jack sh*t if it doesn't come with development of our young pieces.

Oh but you see we are developing a winning culture by only being a small handful of games under .500. Free agents will line up to play for Dolan now

i don't understand what happened with iq in the last couple. he was playing him more minutes recently. playing him late more. with the starters more. and then he pulled back a little for no apparent reason.

Its like he is focused on one goal and whoever he feels he is comfortable getting to that goal and it doesn't matter who gets left behind.

He talks about how minutes are important for development, but then suggests there are other ways to develop.

He says development is important but winning is everything.

He talks about rewarding people with minutes but guys like Payton, Bullock (outside of this game), and Rivers have been providing very little.

He talks about defense but doesn't play our best defensive player

He is good coach but at the same time a walking contradiction. All I will say he better get into the playoffs or this act will run tired real quick.

You got OKC basically having the same record but playing all there young guys doing it. There is a difference.
