It would probably take 1) Fox demanding a trade and 2) Obi + IQ + Knox + 19th + 21st to get the conversation started.

Kings have Haliburton who they could give the keys to and try to surround him with young pieces like Obi for a new rebuild.

Twitter was talking about a Josh Hart/Kyle Lowry backcourt and I'd be very down for that.

This will be the off season. Maybe Lonzo instead of Shroeder, but I can see this.

Not a chance.

1) Fox and Haliburton can play together.

2) Kings had locked Fox for 5 years.

3) Fox is not a vet superstar to force a trade to his favorite team.

4) Kings are a small market team that cant attracts stars, can't go to the playoffs for over a decade and draft pretty badly. They will keep Fox.

What is the deal with Josh Hart. In his rookie year, he shot 40% from deep. Last year, he shot 33%. Is he a reliable shooter? I know he is a great rebounder.

Like u say, Great rebounder for his size. Not a 40%/year 3pt shooter but decent to good. 33% to 40% are probably his upper and lower bounds. would probably be better thought of as a wing.

Nah, we're sending IQ, Obi, and a mountain of picks to Portland for CJ.

I’d prefer to sign Lonzo and trade up for Giddey or Bouknight. Bring back Bullock on a short-term deal. Maybe sign someone like Kelly Olynyk to a large 2yr deal with a TO for the 2nd.

I doubt we’d have to trade all 3 picks to move up, so we’d still have one left over… likely our early 2nd rounder.

Lonzo Ball | Derrick Rose | Luca Vildoza
James Bouknight | Immanuel Quickley
RJ Barrett | Reggie Bullock
Julius Randle | Obi Toppin | Kevin Knox
Mitch Robinson | Kelly Olynyk | Taj Gibson

Or

Josh Giddey | Derrick Rose | Luca Vildoza
Lonzo Ball | Immanuel Quickley
RJ Barrett | Reggie Bullock
Julius Randle | Obi Toppin | Kevin Knox
Mitch Robinson | Kelly Olynyk | Taj Gibson

I always liked Hart. Wanted the team to grab a late pick to get him in the draft a few years back.

We should sign Norman Powell, trade for kemba with a pick that comes in or trade John wall with a pick coming in to us. Then trade up in the draft to get into the 1-5 range. If we don’t get either of those points guards.

I would not mind seeing Suggs on this team future star.

Hey maybe we can trade for doncic “ green font” give them 5 first round picks and take porzingis as the bad player for them to rebuild lol

Some additional data points to consider for those inclined to include all our young guys to land the next shiny object.

I really hope we don't spend money on retaining Noel. I'd rather replace him with someone in the draft.

You're right, though it's fun to dream. Lowry + Hart back court may be more realistic and it's not a bad consolation. Give us some toughness to battle the likes of Atlanta/Philly.

Lowry / Hart / RJ / Randle / Mich

Bench: Rose, IQ, Obi, Taj, draftees.

Baby steps...

All I know is that Dwight Howard was signed for just the $2.5 million vet minimum. So you definitely don't have to spend a lot of money for a quality backup C. So yeah I would also not spend money to retain Noel. His lack of offensive skills and inability to physically matchup against most centers just can't be made up by his willingness to and energy on the defensive end.

you know there's a pretty good chance those will be good picks from the knicks. if lillard comes to the knicks, i'd estimate there's about a 97% chance he tears an acl and misses the season in the first game

no bro

if it doesnt work, you go back to sleep knowing u shot the shot, it was a shot worth taking. Randle is a nice player but hes not a #1. RJ is also a nice player but his ceiling rn looks like Randle-type impact too. So basically we have 2 guys on the team that are #2 or #3s on a championship level team.

we need a #1.

that means we gotta trade for one.

Lillard fits next to Randle and RJ, which is not like "**** it lets go get KAT" for instance who doesnt really fit next to Randle or RJ without a PG.

we have the opportunity to fold in a max contract right now in addition if there's one that makes sense and wants to join us. then we might be able to stratch out another trade for another talent upgrade.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

He's a pure shooter. Pure shooters are hard to find. Not sure why I keep seeing him in packages on this thread. Would hate to see him grab the 50-40-90 on another team.

His lack of rebounding also frustrates me.

Yep. It's because he can't hold his ground and box out consistently and effectively on account of him being 200lbs soaking wet.
