Noel and Mitch were not available and Sims was not all that so who are you playing at C instead?

SGA took 80 shots and made 35%
RJ took 169 shots and made 34.9%
They are basically exactly the same from that range
idk what stat you’re using there but I’m pretty sure RJ didn’t take 169 mid range shotsat most it’s 20 for the whole year
I took RJ’s and Shai’s shot profile from basketball-reference and combined 10 to <16 and 16< to 3pt line.

now apply this to mitch

He’s just too stiff, stiffer than a cardboard box, doesn’t have any elite skills and has 0 athleticism!!!!!!!!
And that’s ok!!!!!!
He’s going to be a very good role player!!!!!!!!!
He’s a vital piece of our core going forward!!!!!!!
no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this correct?

those attempts are off. but lets look at 2nd year SGA compared to 2nd year RJ
SGA mid range: 138 attempts with a 47.8% FG
RJ mid range: 128 attempts with a 35.9% FG
SGA Step Back Jumper: 97 attempts with a 45.4% FG
RJ Step Back jumper: 27 attempts with a 25.9% FG
quite the massive difference in FG% in mid range and step back jumpers. SGA's attempts in the midrange are reduced this year for sure, but this man has became an iso threat at the 3 point line. he took his mid range and extended it. RJ doesnt have those skills and handles. maybe he will one day. or not

But I don’t want Simmons
;t=8s
70% finisher at the hoop right here folks
He wouldn't survive NYC, he would crumble just like he did in Philly. He is now trying to go to some low market team like Sacramento where he can hide from the spotlight
robillionaire wrote:NoDopeOnSundays wrote:robillionaire wrote:
you're right but kawhi can score at the rim too. when the defense knows you're below average at the rim it's probably harder to open up your mid range
RJ shot 61% at the rim last year, I understand he has ugly misses and games where he can't make anything, but over the course of a season he's not a below average finisher at the rim. The point with Kawhi is that he's a 3 level scorer, and I'd rather see RJ work on the most difficult part of the three levels, which is the mid-range game. The finishing will get better over time, but too big deal is made out of it, for example Randle shot 65% at the rim last year.
where are you getting that stat, from what I see here he was 49.7% near the rim and that's below the league average of 58.5%
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/rj-barrett-shot-chart-2021
if you look at his other percentages in the paint they are all also far below league average, probably because he has no floater or anything

your right, probably watched 10-15 Simmons games that didn’t include the Knicks. And in all those games he was pretty much automatic when he decided to attack the rim. Now he’s become timid especially lately. But when he decides to attack. He’s among the best in the league. There’s no refuting that.HEZI wrote:NYKnickerbocker wrote:yes one lowlight VS a entire 4 seasons of being one of the best around the rim in the league lolHEZI wrote:

One lowlight yup you’ve never watched him play his entire career

I suspect he wanted the Peruvian Snuffleupagus to play Obi at C.![]()
I just don't see Thibs a Bolivian Marching Powder guy in the way of Quinn Snyder.
