Not a fan for the fit with the Knicks…

He’s nice, but he’s not elite at attacking or distributing and while he is a good 3pt shooting PG. We have that in both IQ and McBride. They got to get someone who can collapse the paint around them regularly through attacking the rim either based on physical speed or crafty ball handling.

Don't do that. Start making associations. I remember I wanted Jeden McDaniels and he reminded everyone of Knox and anyone I spoke to about it couldn't get Knox outta thier minds so you couldn't even start a conversation. Now I like IQ and really hopes he gets his ish together and it's OK if you don't have faith but don't discriminate against a whole skillset cuz you're upset with our player. Cuz you add defense to IQs game and even with the offensive ups and downs and he's a different player. You add rim effectiveness and he's a different player. And so forth. Sometimes one added skill or just a mentality can change everything

some good SG's: Ivey, Sharpe, Davis, Hardy

some good SF's: Mathurin, Griffin, Brown, Beauchamp

some good PF's: Smith, Banchero, Murray

some good C's: Holmgren, Duren

Hey Montero is a pretty good PG.

I also feel like who ever drafts Ivey will want to try him as a lead guard first.

Agreed, I just don’t trust that level of competition being a good indicator of his talent and knowing this FO they won’t either.

we haven't even drafted a freshman under this FO, hard to see them drafting Montero who's playing against high school talent

They prefer high floor guys who have a record of playing well. It’s the pendulum swing from drafting guys like Frank and Knox and now getting guys like Grimes and IQ.

You know what's going to happen right? 4 teams (including the Knicks) neck-and-neck for the last playin spot. Last game of the season, the other 3 teams lose while Kemba Walker plays the best game of the season leading the Knicks to a win. In an NBA lottery first, 3 teams with the lowest chances of landing a top 3 pick all end up in the top 3.

I like his game. can score at all 3 levels and create his own shot. rebounds and plays defense too

I prefer Ivey and Sharpe tho
