It was as though we were putting the finishing touches of a superteam with an 100 percent healthy roster. And that these games before the all-star break were nothing more than preseason exhibition matchups not losing any sleep over.

I can't believe that there are still people who have zero worries despite losing 4 out of our last 5 games while having a coach who is running what's left of his roster into the ground. Do you really believe that we are going to continue to be a top 4 team for the next month? Or that Randle and OG are going to be ready to play all of the minutes that Thibs usually likes to burn out of his players? It really sucks that as a Knicks fan there is always something that sets us back whenever it seems like things are heading in the right direction.

Why are you concerned with what others are worried about? Do you not feel validated until for worries have company? Would you feel better if everyone panicked?

Maybe because it is a public forum in which people interact with one another? Would you feel better if I did not comment about being concerned with what others are worried about? You and me are both proving that if none of us concerned ourselves with the opinions of others we'd all isolate ourselves from society and live in monasteries.

Expression is never a problem. Only the recruitment into misery.

I've been a Knicks fan for more than 30 years; followed them through the Ewing era, the Sprewell/Houston years, the Scott Layden/ Isiah Thomas years, the Walsh/D'antoni years, the Melo era and now the Brunson/Randle era. I have watched this team get my hopes up too many times to then let me down. While I've enjoyed their recent success, I am not going to be waving my orange and blue pom poms since I have my doubts about Thibs as a coach.

Is it wrong for me not to be completely sold on this team and to disagree with other Knicks fans for having a different opinion on the direction of the season? I came to this forum almost 14 years ago to have civil discussions and share my opinion with people who I knew might have a different persepective than mine.

I’m with you on almost everything you’re saying. Was a fan before Bernard King got here. I’m just looking at the board like a bunch of foxhole friends. We’ve been through a lot of crap, but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. We’re a better team than mostly everyone thought we’d be. Just saying now’s not the time to freak out in the foxhole. I’m seeing a little of it, and it’s spreading. Didn’t mean to attack you. Just trying to add perspective

Not really worried, once we get 3 starters back we will be fine.

And I don't mean in a good way, I mean in the sense he coaches like the season will be over tomorrow regardless of what happens, so no need to plan for the future.

Hope everyone enjoyed early January, because that was the high water mark for the team for the season. Fun while it lasted. It's over now. Of course, everyone is a diehard and will continue to watch what effectively is a lotto team, but really, it's a waste of time for at least 4 or 5 more weeks.

Unless you like misery, losses and bad basketball. Which, since everyone has been a Knick fan on here for at least 20 years, we probably do.

Investigate Scott Foster, Jacyn Goble, his brother too. Get the FBI involved. Enough is enough. This all STINKS to high heaven. It ain't just about the Knicks.

When I was in the hospital, I got to watch way more TV than usual. Every sports channel is wall to wall advertising for gambling sites. When there aren't gambling commercials, there are actual shows dedicated to gambling. MSG has those two goofy assh*les who have their betting show. Usually comes on before the game. Then there are infomercials that run a few times a day for various gambling apps etc.

Good luck with that. Nobody is investigating anything.

It affects a lot. Do you think the replay, and how much it sucks with it's delays, is for the integrity of the game? Puh-lease. It's for the integrity of the betting line. And probably to work the outcome at times. But mostly for the line and it's outcome.

People (some of whom like guns and violence) dropping huge bets in the millions of dollars and no way to review calls?

The replay is to appease large betters. Not for the game and not for the fans who watch the game.

I love that the head ref admits it wasn't a foul, yet NBA rules say he can't overturn it, and in order for the Knicks to have gotten it overturned would've needed to have a challenge. Like wtf? If its a GAME DECIDING PLAY why the f*ck would we need a challenge, it should be reviewed and overturned!

Betting has always been a big part of sports. Now it's above board. Nothing wrong with that, other than when huge money is involved, inevitably there will be corruption.

When the leagues were concerned about building up the fan bases for their product, they were VERY VERY concerned there should not be the whiff of gambling around the game, so mom & pop & the kids would go out to the game and spend $ and drive up attendance.

After a while the leagues took the attendance for granted and decided people will come to the games no matter what, but just in case they like internet more than sitting in seats, why not use gambling as another revenue stream?

I'm just mad because people get to drink alcohol and bet at games while I can't sit at a game and do coke while getting blown by a prostitute. It's hypocritical and just plain unfair.

Why do they get their chemical and vice of choice but not me?

Here in Texas, a casino empire just bought the Mavs along with land to build a casino on. Next they’ll bribe city leadership to make casinos legal, then they’ll make taxpayers foot the bill for construction. The genie’s out of the bottle
