I’ve been saying this for so long. Let him come off the bench. Being the 6th man on a team this deep is no joke. He has to spear head a second unit with Payne, hart and Mitch/ precious whenever they come back.

I’ve been clamoring for this change. Play precious when he comes back. Slide Mikal to the bench
Starting line up KAT precious og deuce jb can and will win a lot of games.
Off the bench would be Mitch Payne Mikal hart

This is the only way this team will be balanced.

This guy only hit 4 3's in his 36 point game. He's not really the best 3 point shooter, but his is historically a great defender and a very good player on offense. He needs more time to gel -- I recall that Josh Hart was ready for the scrap heap in SL. Now we love him. Let's give Mikal some time, maybe even play him less than 38 minutes/game, and see how he does. This is a contract year, so we're not stuck with him long term if we don't want him. But we very well may!

Defense is about effort. He has all the attributes available to be a great defender. And has been in the past. Dont understand why there was such a steep drop off.

Fit Mitch Reporting For Duty!

Seems he finally received the memo. Hopefully not too late.

Turns out 7’ of heavy weight is bad for your feet but worse for your future earning potential.

Idk if he can stay healthy lean, but if he didn’t lose weight his career was most certainly over. Dude had some serious financial incentive to lay off the jambalaya.

I'm still giving Mitch a pass and blaming everything on Embiid

He's never gonna experiment like this, unfortunately.

wtf happened to this guy? This was just last year… he looked so in rhythm and smooth. :o :o
There’s even a move that freezes butler at the 3:15 mark
It’s like these guys decide to experiment or change who they are when the come to Knicks. :banghead: :banghead:

Remember how Bojan was a 20ppg scorer as a starter in DET then came to the knicks stinking it up and couldn't hit the side of a barn? But he had a game or 2 where he did his thing and he even hit some good shots for us in the playoffs. Actually looked like he was settling into his role before he went out for good with his hand. He's a long time vet

Maybe it will take Mikal half a season to figure things out but I was hoping he was gonna be every bit of plug and play as OG. We aren't really asking him to do a whole lot, that's the concerning thing.

That’s the problem, he’s not tasked with being a star. He legit just needs to play defense lol
It’s like he forgot how to basketball.

I’m so confused tonight man, how does this guy in the video, forget how to basketball in a season. It’s just so weird. He had handles, he had a shot, he had rhythm, and his defense was amazing. I’m praying his game comes back man. Just keep practicing Mikal, you gotta come with it.

just finished the game and this is the first time this season I am worried.
After a stinkbomb in Dallas you come out like THIS against a G-league team?
And I'm starting to get really pissed at Mikal Bridges.

At least Mikal and his teammates acknowledge that he’s been terrible. Problem is they think it’s only been on the offensive end but he’s been worse defensively. But any improvement from him offensively will still be welcomed

start to wonder whether their history as best buds helps or hurts in times like this

we need someone to have an honest and objective dialogue with mikal. josh is our main vocal leader so we can't have him going easy on mikal cus they're buddies
What is said in front of cameras and behind the scenes is two different things.

Funny we got Knox because he dominated Bridges in one on ones.

I thought it was the other Bridges he dominated. I think Mikal did a separate workout with the Knicks. He must have done well because he thought they were drafting him. Until the Knox workout I guess
If I recall it was both.

He stopped in Brooklyn. I feel like there's a hidden injury somewhere.

I've wanted him here for years but can't argue what's in front of my face.

its the why Cap...like Thibs said- he has a body of work..he needs time to invent what his style of play will be for this dynamic team...

The issue with him on offense isn't a matter of play style, it's that the bozo changed the mechanics on his shot for no reason. The body of work makes sense if he were in a shooting slump with his previous form, but he changed it and can't shoot because of it. What you're seeing is someone that has lost confidence in their shot and it's having an impact everywhere right down to him not wanting to go to the line because he may miss.

This is not a shooting slump, he couldn't make threes in preseason which is almost 2 months ago. This is a form change that has to be fixed or else what you see is what you get.

(as always) couldn't agree more. what has the number of games to do with the fact that he is front rimming every single three that is not from the corner? I think it was against the mavs where he was under the basket, got fouled in the act... and then passed if off quick to not shoot free throws. this is a real thing right now.
