You be offering to take less money at work to make the place better?
Ask the captain of our team, looks like he did just that to play with his boys and we have the best team around since the Clyde, Reed championship years.![]()

AND Brunson has done that under a time period where there are MORE restrictions to the salary cap, and aprons, AND STILL got to play with his boys by leaving money on the table
Legacy matters, if it’s a work environment that I genuinely like, then yea Im gonna stay…
Actually, there’s a moment to be humble and then there’s moments like this where I can say, I HAVE taken less money to stay at a facility that I like. I’m a doctor by the way so I know a thing or two about having money. And when you come from nothing growing up, environment matters. I’ve requested a pay increase from my facility, and they increased it, though other places offered more, I stayed because I got more money at a place I genuinely wanted to be at. If I had the chance to get pay increase at the place I’m at AND leave a legacy to one day be the CEO of the hospital, of course Im staying, rather than taking all the money and having sh** coworkers around me.
Let’s not act like Melo was being offered chump change either. He wanted ALL of the money on the table and handicapped the moves we could make to put a better team around him. If you remember, Melo had the chance to go to Chicago as a free agent when they were still in their contender years with Rose, Butler and Noah still on that team. If he wanted a ring he could have taken less to go there. Instead he took the entire max salary slot money that he wanted, and returned here, and further restrict the moves we could have made going forward. He even talks about this on the 7PM in Brooklyn Pod, where he says after Brunson took the contract over the summer and got paid less, that “this was not something he would do.” Yea, good riddance to him, thats why we were a middling team with him on the team for years. Why do you think he was not a free agent in 2010 when Wade, LeBron and bosh were all free agents? Because Melo signed for an extra year of guaranteed money in the contract with Denver, meaning he would have been a free agent in 2011. Its a recurring theme with Melo.
Let’s not get it twisted homey.
That’s a long ass answer to a short ass question. I read a “yes” in there somewhere as I skimmed, doc.
Also, Melo took less in his Knicks FA. That continues to be the point of what you quoted me in. Saying he took every dollar he could is false.

Randle is a front-runner. When he's scoring, he's grinning. When he isn't, he's bitter and aloof.
Meanwhile, that MF may be the worst defensive player in the NBA.
Even worse is he's the worst defensive player in the NBA not because he can't play defense, but because he's a selfish bum who is 100% a stat whore with zero concern for doing what it takes to win.
Sorry Minny, he's your problem now. Randle sucks

Stuff like, you all just hate him cause he’s not Lebron. Oh you all are just mad because he booed you. Any other reason but to admit that it’s toxic to have a dude who just doesn’t care.

I've said it here before a thousand times and I'll say it again. I seriously think Julius is bipolar. He was always hot and cold, unpredictable, easily agitated, and could quickly slip into a dark place where he was pouting and violent. The throwing of the computer and near-fight with IQ spoke volumes.
Sadly, his behavior is also about to affect his bag. Just when he's due a new contract, I doubt anyone will be willing to put up with his antics.

He’s already made hundreds of millions of dollars playing basketball I think he will manage to survive somehow
