Wolves fans online have begun moving from anger to depression as they navigate the 5 stages of Randle.

Ask the captain of our team, looks like he did just that to play with his boys and we have the best team around since the Clyde, Reed championship years.
AND Brunson has done that under a time period where there are MORE restrictions to the salary cap, and aprons, AND STILL got to play with his boys by leaving money on the table

Legacy matters, if it’s a work environment that I genuinely like, then yea Im gonna stay…
Actually, there’s a moment to be humble and then there’s moments like this where I can say, I HAVE taken less money to stay at a facility that I like. I’m a doctor by the way so I know a thing or two about having money. And when you come from nothing growing up, environment matters. I’ve requested a pay increase from my facility, and they increased it, though other places offered more, I stayed because I got more money at a place I genuinely wanted to be at. If I had the chance to get pay increase at the place I’m at AND leave a legacy to one day be the CEO of the hospital, of course Im staying, rather than taking all the money and having sh** coworkers around me.

Let’s not act like Melo was being offered chump change either. He wanted ALL of the money on the table and handicapped the moves we could make to put a better team around him. If you remember, Melo had the chance to go to Chicago as a free agent when they were still in their contender years with Rose, Butler and Noah still on that team. If he wanted a ring he could have taken less to go there. Instead he took the entire max salary slot money that he wanted, and returned here, and further restrict the moves we could have made going forward. He even talks about this on the 7PM in Brooklyn Pod, where he says after Brunson took the contract over the summer and got paid less, that “this was not something he would do.” Yea, good riddance to him, thats why we were a middling team with him on the team for years. Why do you think he was not a free agent in 2010 when Wade, LeBron and bosh were all free agents? Because Melo signed for an extra year of guaranteed money in the contract with Denver, meaning he would have been a free agent in 2011. Its a recurring theme with Melo.

Let’s not get it twisted homey.

That’s a long ass answer to a short ass question. I read a “yes” in there somewhere as I skimmed, doc.

Also, Melo took less in his Knicks FA. That continues to be the point of what you quoted me in. Saying he took every dollar he could is false.

He took a deal for 124 mil/ 5 years. The max at the time was 129 mil/ 5 years. He left 1mil/year on the table. WOW! He surely sacrificed a TON with that. We could have even signed the ghost of Chris Duhon with that money!! Surely a contender!!

"Not one....not two...but 3x 3x 3x All-star!!! 2x All NBA!!"

Some folks here were religiously repeating that line to convince themselves that having Randle on the Knicks is a blessing and we're ungrateful for wanting to trade him.

Dude is a stat-padding loser and his selfish play and toxic attitude has thrust the Wolves fanbase headlong into an existential crisis. I genuinely feel bad for them.

We stole Prime Kareem from them in exchange for the washed version of Boogie Cousins.

Randle is a front-runner. When he's scoring, he's grinning. When he isn't, he's bitter and aloof.

Meanwhile, that MF may be the worst defensive player in the NBA.

Even worse is he's the worst defensive player in the NBA not because he can't play defense, but because he's a selfish bum who is 100% a stat whore with zero concern for doing what it takes to win.

Sorry Minny, he's your problem now. Randle sucks

I've said it here before a thousand times and I'll say it again. I seriously think Julius is bipolar. He was always hot and cold, unpredictable, easily agitated, and could quickly slip into a dark place where he was pouting and violent. The throwing of the computer and near-fight with IQ spoke volumes.

Sadly, his behavior is also about to affect his bag. Just when he's due a new contract, I doubt anyone will be willing to put up with his antics.

He shouldn't have taken a dollar less. It's selfish and absurd fans even think this sht or have the audacity to even publicly state it. "Take less money for my entertainment" is gross as hell. Than they have the audacity to act like the athlete is the selfish one. Gross behavior.

The sad part was that people were making up so many excuses for this guy, instead of pointing this out.

Stuff like, you all just hate him cause he’s not Lebron. Oh you all are just mad because he booed you. Any other reason but to admit that it’s toxic to have a dude who just doesn’t care.

I don't believe he doesn't care. I just think he is emotionally immature and makes dumb mistakes. He gets lost on defense and turns into a puddle when he sees a double team. Either way not our problem, eh

He made enough money during his first year in the league that would have made many of us regular people very comfortable. I'm just saying the big payday he's likely been hoping for may never come -- and his career could get cut short by teams unwilling to take a flyer on him due to his attitude.

I’ve been super happy with KAT too, but given that he’s not a mistake free player or a defensive beast, it’s funny that Randle is bad even in comparison.

Randle's reversion back to 2022 Randle in Minny may be the best counter argument to our Thibs concerns. Thibs/Brunson had him playing like a plus player these past few years.

I always said though - no dumping, no attaching assets. Only move the guy for value. I figured guys like Grant/Kuzma were the top of that pole but KAT without giving up a huge additional haul was a few steps above that.
