We agree the depth and a vile orc head coach are weak links. Being a championship starting 5 isn't a vacuum it's in direct comparison to the other rosters out there. Championship would mean getting to the finals, which requires us to get to the eastern conference finals. I just don't see it, and over paying for Nova JR Smith has left us at the end of the road with our options.

So you wanna cry about being a top 5 team? You don't think it's possible we get hot at the right time and make a run? Then why bother watching? I believe our starting 5 can run with ANYONE in the league. The depth and the coaching may end up being our downfall but, throwing in the towel with 32 games left is ridiculous.

I'm not throwing in any towel, we can't do anything this year. Just tempering some of the absurd homerism. Yes maybe the Celtics and Cavs game gets hit by an asteroid.

It's really obvious this team is an early playoff exit. Oh well. Several years to move OG or Bridges or Hart. Whatever needs to happen.

From 2000-2011 the Mavs had 3 different coaches, Don Nelson and Avery Johnson both won more than 60 games with the team (Avery went b2b 60+), both ultimately proved they couldn't get the team over the hump which is why they hired Rick Carlisle. They won in Rick's 3rd year, just like the Celtics won 3 years after Brad Stevens stepped down.

Thank you for finally endorsing a coaching change being necessary rob, nice to have you onboard.

This is baked into who these players are. The coach certainly doesn't help. It's also baked into the other rosters, Celtics didn't have their 3rd best player (WhEn hEalThy!) and they won a chip.

Even KAT has had a health decline, he was an iron man.

Bro... STFU already. You don't come around at all when we are beating teams. Your BS is well known around here. Fact remains that this is the best team we have seen in decades. You wanna act like like we suck? FOH. Don't quote me with your crybaby BS. If we don't win this year, there's always next year. We will still be a top team then too. You can't handle success apparently. You can't appreciate it at all. You just wanna cry and try to convince others that the sky is purple because misery loves company.

I don't expect to hear a fuggin peep out of you when we are winning games and I don't wanna hear a fuggin thing from you when we lose either. You bring nothing to the discussion other than tears. Go cry yourself to sleep and leave me the fuq alone.

The Cavs had a bunch of injuries and lost in the second last year just like we did. Donovan Mitchell got injured. Jarrett Allen got injured. Maybe they should shut the season down

Another post endorsing a coaching change?

Their new coach has kept the players minutes in check, unlike the JB Thiberstaff last year. It's so nice to see you finally on board the change team.

This dude said for years we can’t win a playoff series now moved the goalpost to second round because we win them regularly. Insists we don’t have a top 20 player on the roster when we have two all star starters(my math says top 10, mvp ladder confirms). The goalposts just keep moving and moving. Soon it will be they’ll never make the finals, they’ll never win the finals, well whatever they won it won’t be a 3 peat or a dynasty like the warriors or MJ so who cares . That’s the trajectory lol

I actually agree in the sense that our bench is very bad. But that’s fixable in the future. You could patch that up. I love our starting lineup

I just hope that if the Knicks do decide to part ways with Thibs they don't replace him with another Fred Hoiberg or Ryan Saunders.

I'd enjoy basketball more if I didn't see us playing with a handicap. I like the roster, add more depth and I think they could win a title with a coach that can make adjustments. I don't know how anyone can watch how we play against elite teams, through multiple different rosters and come away thinking he's the man for the job.

Kidd was on that team with Avery when they were losing in the first round to the Hornets.

Yeah and Avery benched him at the end of one of those games against the Hornets like an idiot which is probably why he got fired

Don't play with my heart, it needs to be done for it to work.

But, it's good to see you unknowingly join the movement by highlighting a bunch of teams that ultimately moved on from winning coaches 8-)

Return to New York Knicks
