- Knicks can flip Calderon & Timmy into a position of need in the starting lineup. A stretch 4 who is also expiring. Lose no current cap space. We can still target the likes of Deandre Jordan & Wes Matthews/Danny Green.
- Pelicans save about $15M in cap space that adds to their already $7M cap space they already had. They add bench depth behind Jrue & Tyreke. Can add some good players with that amount of cap space, especially if they hire a high profile coach to attract FAs.
- Sixers absorbs Eric Gordon but he's still a good player & position of need if they draft a PG. He's a shooter & is expiring. They also do this because I doubt any big names sign there. Sixers still have about $10M in cap space after the trade to spend on depth and any other "need".
So the Sixers don't give anything up for E.Gordon??
I know right. It would be nice if they sent a few picks the Knick way
Why send picks? They would essentially be doing the Knicks a favor by taking Gordon for free so we can flip Calderon for someone useful.

)? He would be going to a winner, playing with Duncan in his last years, Parker still has a few years under contract, they are about to lock up Leonard
