And I'm equally tired of fans who think you win championships with me-first players. There's a reason that Denver's playoff record during Anthony's years was 16-30, whereas Cleveland (who arguably had the weaker support cast) was 42-29.
lebron is better then melo, we all know that. i know you don't like melo but why does giving up chandler instead of gallo change your opinion about getting him ? the truth is the cost of what we have to get rid of in the summer will be very similar to the cost of trading for him now. there's not much difference.
Some people are stuck in their beliefs and you can't convince them otherwise. He's going to ignore the fact that Denver plays in the West and Lebron plays in the East. He's going to ignore the fact that the Nuggets lost 4-1 to the Spurs two times and 4-2 to the Lakers once, which equals a combined 4-12 record for the Nuggets and those teams won the championship those years.
Lebron is better than Carmelo. Everyone knows that. It doesn't change the fact that the Nuggets are going up against much tougher competition in the first round then the Cavaliers are going against until the Cavaliers got to the Celtics and Magic.
Lebron and Melo have 1 playoff opponent in common and that's the 06-07 Spurs. The Spurs beat the Nuggets 4-1 and the Spurs beat the Cavaliers 4-0.
None of that matters to him. Last, but not least, a me-first player just won the last 2 final MVPs and its not because he's not a 'me-first' player. Meanwhile a team full of 'me-second' guys have a playoff record of 0-0 and those are the players rumored in the Carmelo deal. Go figure.
