Hopefully one way or another this will all be done soon. It is obviously affecting our players, and with Felton even coming out now and complaining about all the talk and rumors we need this thing to come to an end already.

As far as I'm concerned if Donnie cannot get Melo he has failed as GM.

loosing is not a word. it's losing as in lose. Not to be grammar police but no lie you are like the 20th person to mistype that in a week's span.

If a trade happens odds are pretty good that the game against Atl might be the last time Chandler, Fields, or Gallo are ever in a Knicks uniform (unless this goes all the way to the deadline, then the Bucks game is the last game).

Someone should tweet that to one of the beatwriters, maybe get them to hop on that bandwagon too. Even if we all want Melo, I think we all agree that we appreciate what Wilson Chandler and Gallo have brought these past few years as Knicks, and have really loved Fields this year.

Carmelo Anthony will go to the All-Star Game this weekend in Los Angeles as a member of the Denver Nuggets, a person with knowledge of the situation said. But although a trade won't happen this week, the source said the Knicks have "more of a sense of urgency'' to get a deal done for the four-time All-Star before the Feb. 24 trade deadline.

The word "lose" has never been in a spelling bee. Spelling bees have difficult words in them.

^ so, he'll be a member of the Nuggets for the all star game, but Donnie is working to change that so it could change with his urgency...... aka zip haha

it is seeming more like Denver will really be stubborn and drag this till the very end... though I"m not sure what benefit comes from waiting after the last game is played.. At least Donnie supposedly knows the urgency.

At the end of the day he knows he can't strike out on Melo.

He will be a Knick...I trust Walsh.

I figured it would go to about the deadline I think Stein had it best when he had sources saying they would look to deal him a few days before the deadline so they can make a few more deals if necessary to help rebuild so I see a deal if they deal him a few days before the deadline. I think Donnie is working with them and that might be why it's so quiet lately at least I hope.

Though no formal offers have been made by the Knicks, it has been clear that - with the knowledge that Anthony prefers to be in New York with a three-year, $65-million extension as part of the trade - they believe they have some leverage in negotiations with Denver.

The Nuggets, however, have maintained a stance that they won't trade Anthony if they're not satisfied with an offer for him.

Newsday reported Saturday that the Nuggets have been talking with other teams, with the Rockets as one dark-horse candidate, and also are interested in re-engaging talks with the Nets. Perhaps it's posturing, but the Knicks are concerned, the source said.

ESPN reported Friday that the Nuggets want Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari and Timofey Mozgov, along with multiple first-round picks, from the Knicks. That's a steep price that has led to some debate within the Knicks' hierarchy, according to multiple sources.

Mike D'Antoni, two sources said, is putting up the most resistance against giving up so many young players. Donnie Walsh has long been in favor of adding Anthony, whom he has told confidants is one of the toughest players in the league. Team owner James Dolan, multiple sources say, is on board with making the investment to add another star to join $100-million man Amar'e Stoudemire.

1) How have we not given them a formal deal - I don't understand.....

2) Appears as though MDA is the one being unwilling to part with too many young guys right now, and Donnie / Dolan are both behind getting Anthony...

3) "Denver wants Wilson Gallo and Moz" - who would not do that deal if push came to shove? We'd have to find a big though, that's for sure..

With this loss, Denver drops to 9-17 away. They will play majority of the rest of their games away. With two more losses away, they should probably be convinced they won't be a contender.

1. We are obviously still in negotiations. Hence hearing about a different offer everyday.
2. Mike is right
3. It said Denver wants Chandler, Gallo, and Moz. Denver can f*ck itself.
