this whole thing is funny, making a boring Friday at work rather amusing.

- or Melo will accept a trade to NJ and sign the extension
If that's the case - see ya, Melo. Enjoy your new 17-40 team.

lol @ "that guy"
Very dismissive sounding huh?
Give up Nets, embarrassing for real!
"that guy" is probably some anger for them playing games with him.

I've done nothing but refresh browser all day, and got Chipotle.

Why should he? If he can get Melo without giving up Gallo, why not do so?
I'd much rather wait this out till the deadline and retain maximum assets then give in now so you lot can stop having your periods.

Basically, either Dolan will overrule Walsh and pull the trigger himself or he will let Walsh make the decision and will probably resent Walsh and use that as an excuse not to renew Donnie's contract. Probably not this year. He may exercise the option on Donnie's contract for 2011-2012 but will let him walk in 2012.
Like I said yesterday, the Nuggets aren't amateurs. Melo's an amateur. The Nuggets and CAA played their cards well. They didn't schedule a meeting with GMs but only with owners. When push comes to shove, they know there's a good chance it won't be basketball decision but a pride decision. Dolan will probably refuse to let Prokhorov win. It will be an embarassment for him to let Melo go to NJ after he met him face to face. Remember how Dolan was upset after the "blueprint for greatness" billboard last summer. Meeting could end up a trap for the Knicks. If it was Walsh I wouldn't worry about it but with Dolan I think he will never let Prokhorov win and won't care if the trade costs us four starters and draft picks.
I can't agree more. People think Ujiri is some dumb rookie GM. No Kroenke put him in there as a figure head because he is not allowed to be the GM per his agreement with the NFL. Denver has done a good job of managing this situation and they clearly haven't caved to our low ball offers.
At the end of the day Melo is a 26 year old guy who is being handled by a bunch of greedy lawyers/advisers who care more about him signing that extension than anything else because that's how they get paid.
Play time is over.

Re: [Camelo Thread Part 20] - Down to the Wire?
I definitely take the Hahn tweet as the Nuggets wanting both Chandler and Gallo and not one or the other. Donnie is right not to want to give up both of them. Nuggets have nowhere to turn since it looks like Melo won't sign with them so they can't look to stick up the Knicks for everyone on the roster

Glad to hear it. Knicks will need him when Amare begins breaking down, which my money says happens sooner rather than later. Melo & broken down Amare & no bench & no defense = borderline lottery team.

You have to be kidding me.
Depend on situation... but if it's currently Chandler Felton Curry pick... 11th hour or Melo says i'm taking the nets or your deal, you add gallo no question.
