Larkin: $1.6 mil

That's $23.9 million...plus $2-2.5 mil in cap holds brings it to about $26.5 million. That's still less than $40 mil in cap space. If the Knicks can also dump Dalembert and Ellington in those trades, it brings them very very close to being able to offer 2 max contracts, certainly close enough.

I wouldn't want to field that current roster with 2 max contracts.

He obviously makes some misstatements and jumps the gun but it's pretty clear that Robert Randolph is privy to SOME amount of inside information. It's just a matter of filtering and downsizing what he tells us. But the grains of truth are in there somewhere.

Sources: Rockets offer Bosh max deal of 4 yrs, $96 million. After weekend convo with LeBron and low offer from Heat, Bosh considering offer

My prediction is that Bosh takes that offer. He's a great fit on the Rockets and he'll get the max or close to it. Bosh already offered Miami and Lebron to take even less than he did in his last contract in order to keep that core together and that still wasn't good enough for Lebron. Lebron is really sticking up Bosh's ass when Wade is the one who should be taking the biggest cut (based on performance). But Wade is Miami's darling for a lot of good reasons but he won't take such a pay cut.

Exactly. Phil sees a big picture here. A very big picture. This is his chance.

Hmm, this is a good point actually.

Lets say Philly is willing to play ball on the reported Amare deal. Whats to stop them from taking Amare and Bargs in the same deal if we threw all of our assets at them? Could it work under the cap? What if we take back JRich or Thad to make it work? What does it leave us with cap-wise? We could stretch JRich..

WHAT assets?

Our picks??
Oh wait..

its not happening, stop dreaming

LOL. Not disagreeing. Just stating how I feel haha. Can't help my feelings. With that said, as a BASKETBALL fan, I would really want to see it.

Yes, our picks. We have future picks. Philly is in the business of collecting future picks and the trade would not hurt them beyond this current season (when they are tanking).

I'm not dreaming... I am nightmaring.. I already said I don't want LeBron here lol.

We are all going to be disappointed when Melo and Lebron are playing for the Heat next year and we are still stuck with Robert Randolph and JR Smith

You have a solid PG rotation with Calderon and Prigs (extremely smart rotation)

I would think they would trade Larkin for a option that is more capable of contributing right away

JR is an idiot but can play

Early and greak freaks older brother are decent young pieces

Now add Melo, LeBron, and Pau to that team and you have the best team in the east. LeBron made it with much less in CLE. He would have a legit top 5-10 player to play alongside who compliment his game.

I don't see Lebron going to NY for a billion dollars even, but after 2010 who the hell knows what will happen. Though if Melo really wants to come back to NY and he's taking his time to sign, there must be a reason behind it. Either he wants to go play with Lebron in Miami and is waiting for Bosh to make a move or Phil is trying to get Lebron to the Knicks with Melo and it's going to take time obviously. Like I said who the hell really knows.

Lebron had a chance to come here before. We weren't even a contender. So why do you think he'd come here now?

your sig answers your own question.

I just don't know that I see Lebron playing mind games with the fans of the Cavs after what took place before. You know what I mean?

seriously he has his rings

he would be going home. And he really is a glorified role player that would be getting a max deal in his 30's

crazy to turn that down.
