Big Baby Hernangomez has been a lot tougher and more physical than I expected going into the season. Dwight had a good game, but down the stretch when it mattered most, Willie bodied him extremely effectively.

Not asking him to change, just trust his teammates more. That will have to come eventually, he's not 28 years old anymore and even his ball handling has been looking shaky this year. He's slowing down and can no longer carry the teams offense like he used to, the sooner he realizes that the better.

Talking like Melo isn't having his most efficient season ever...

Is he really?

His true shooting percentage is the highest he's ever had. Playing well within the flow of the offense. Still a solid number 1 option

Noah was probably the biggest contributor to our win today.

Jae Crowder, Maurice N'Dour, and DeMarre Carroll look all the same to me ?? They could change teams and switch jerseys and I'd barely notice.

Really? Some people enjoy mediocrity here..root for 1-4 seed. Don't just settle for 8th. Wtf

8th seed would be worse than 9th seed.
go for that 7th seed and enjoy the first round.

Let's we this team win 3 games in a row before worrying about all star selections and playoff seeding. Almost 85% of the season left to go.

Easiest way to win a SF spot on the Hawks is to grow some dreadlocks.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions, because I'm rooting for the guy no matter how terrible that contract was.

But the 2nd half against DAL and this game have been so much better than the product we have when Noah is on the floor.

Just think Jeff has to stagger Noah and KP more. Maybe Melo KP Jennings lineups without Noah DRose and DRose Noah lineups without those 3. Lee and Holiday fit wherever.

If the season ended today that would be nice but with 70 games left in the season I think it's safe to say that he won't sustain that which is exactly why I want him to start looking for his guys more. He should still be the number 1 option but he needs to also realize that this is the most offensively talented team he has ever had, so help get the other guys involved because he is going to need them if he wants to get back into the playoffs. It's just about doing the easy little things, like when you have a hard working young player in Hernangomez who is battling with Dwight Howard and shutting him down on defense and getting in his head, he comes back on the offensive end and is feeling good about himself and goes into the post and wants to touch the ball and is looking at Melo and calling for it but Melo just looks him off and tells him to go away. Hernangomez is not Noah, he can actually do some work in that post so why not give him the ball?

Great effort, especially on defense, but I'm not getting fooled again by this team. You know they will follow this up by getting blown out by Portland on Tuesday.

I was waiting for a positive stretch from the Knicks, but went ahead and took the step of getting league pass to watch the Knicks today.

Glad I did. Now don't make me regret it!

Knicks played great ball today. Melo has to bring that type of energy as the leader of this team. However, the Knicks did go out and get guys that should be able to bring that energy to the team, guys like Noah, Lee, Rose, Jennings and even KP. Not giving Melo an excuse, but if it takes him to give the team energy, that's a problem for these so called energy guys.

Anyways hope they have turned a corner. The Washington game was just ridiculous to watch, but other than that there have been positive signs of late

Simply because it takes longer for the players to gel as a team. It has only been 13 games, and we're showing improvement. I suspect this team can do even better than today. We have the pieces we needed that we didn't have last year. We have buy-in from the players and coaches. And they seem to be having fun. Today's game was fun to watch, even though that doesn't mean we can't improve a lot more It's just that winning the way we did today - playing good team ball on offense and on D - is fun. I'm enjoying this a lot and, judging by the comments, a lot of you are, too. This is why we don't want to tank -- we'd have to give this all up.

Exactly.

I've been saying 20 games. I don't think that's too far off. Just as long as we keep improving.

My issue with Melo is his energy and effort on defense. Today, he was great. He was actually interested in defending and rotating and getting over screens. Sadly this is not always the case. I'd say 80% of the time, he has very little desire on that side of the court. Unfortunately, his teammates see this is and they follow him. I have no problem with Melo wanting to be a silent leader and lead by example. But he must be a better example. Beating a dead horse here because he is who he is and that's not changing. Melo needs other vets (ie. Kidd, Billups) to push him. We don't have that vet on the team.

LEt's say noah still have the flu on tuesday, who's going to take his minutes.
Today kyle got 18mins while Willy logged in 29mins.
Truth is,I was surprise Jeff felt confident with Willy out there defending Howard. It paid off obviously but I think Kyle and him can share the center spot.
Kyle look great for the minutes he played this season.
Kp can fill the 5 when Jeff decides to speed up the game
