I have no doubt he'll play better/more team oriented in OKC. He doesn't have to be the focus and Westbrook is the personality of that team. It's a good get for OKC. Not allowed to lose focus there.

Melo in OKC is certainly going to be interesting. Prime Melo joining Westbrook and PG13? I'd be worried about it being a terrible fit. They'd still be good but there would be chemistry issues. Not enough balls...etc...

However, aging Melo? If he can put his ego aside and accept being a 3rd option and playing a position he doesn't like (PF), he'll have personal and team success this year. They'll still only be a 4th seed at best but in the west that's very good.

He never has anyone reliable to falls back on in his time with NYK.

I've been watching him since his first NBA year, the season the Nuggets acquired Chauncey or Iverson, his PPG dropped significantly, I have no doubt he has any problem co-existing with PG or Russ.

Melo will be fine. He's played with All Star players. He'll put whatever ego aside to win.

I am happy for Melo and will be pulling for him to do well with OKC. He was the only star in his prime that wanted to be a Knick so I will always support him. He knows how to play with other stars, Olympic team, and be effective. Okc is going to be fun to watch this season.
